How to turn on backup camera delay?

[GTP]

Page 150 of the 2016 manual indicates that the backup camera image can be delayed, i.e. remain on for a few seconds after shifting out of reverse.

But I was unable to find this in the menu vehicle settings. :shrug:

You can't tell a difference when you shift out of reverse, begin driving forward, and can still see behind you in the display? Alright....


When I rented the EB, I'm pretty sure I got to it in the main 8" screen's menus.

I could be wrong, but I think the delay only works with Auto cars. I changed mine with manual transmission and nothing changed.

manual gt pp here. camera would stay on after taken out of reverse for a few seconds.

GTP, it's something like settings -> camera -> on/off button. very simple.

edit: oops, I thought you had a 2015. No idea how it works on sync 3.

so you're telling me you followed these instructions and you couldn't see the option? it's on the multi functional display. it's a sync2 option, like I said I have no idea about sync3/2016.

I think the idea is to not turn off the camera view prematurely. I'm a very meticulous parker and I saw back and forth a few times. It's very annoying when I need to pull forward some, then reverse again, but have to wait for the screen to flip back to the camera image once more. I think the delay is there for those situations, so it doesn't trigger off before you have to reverse again.
