How are you guys doing it? Stock PP mustang here. I have launch control set at 3. Are you slipping or the clutch or what? I've only done a few, but none of them have gone well. either wheel hopped like it was my job, or just make smoke.

yeahh don't do that lol.. leave at idle unless you have slicks or drag radials.. leaving at 3k with stock tires and youre going to have a bad day.. just leave the line at idle and that's the best youre going to get.

Lowering the tire pressure if u have the pzeros helps alot, but u cant leave at 3k with the stock tires. If the track is prepped well leaving at idle will sometimes result in a bad bogg down,so u just have to find ur sweet spot, practice! !!!!!!!!.I have done a 1.9 60 ft on stock tires,so a decent launch can be done with stock tires.

Curious as to how low is too low on tire pressure. My best 60' on the P-zero's is 2.18 (EB PP) but I forgot to adjust tire pressure and was at 36 psi. I expect I left something on the table.
Is 26 too low? 30ish? Certainly everyone's results vary some but what is the general tire pressure range people are running on stock tires?

Actually i set mine inbetween 26 and 24 and found that to be the best psi for the track.

Leave at idle with 24 pounds in the pzeros with a good preped track and watch what happens. Now thats its getting hot alot of guys will find out that the pzeros on the pp are really not that bad of a tire, guys running low 12,s with them on this site. For a summer tire it does pretty well, just sucks in the cold.

Even when rolling into the power it'll spin once it really comes on power, at like 4k. Annoying!

They best pressure is going to vary depending on the prep. On the p-zero I found the best for me to be around 28-30. On the Michelins PSS on a well prepped track anything I tried 28 and I was bogging after initial launch. If I could have launched a little harder and not had the hop, I think that would have been a good pressure.

In my limited experience, I'd suggest 32 and run with that until you are consistent in your 60' and then start playing with pressure in 2lb increments. Otherwise you won't know if it's the pressure or your skills that are impacting times.

Don't bother with launch control on street tires. You'll spin like crazy, then start hopping and feel like your axles will snap off.

Keeping it between 3,000 and 4,000 RPM and riding the clutch out will get you the fastest launches. It's hard on the clutch; I'm not going to lie. If you let the clutch out too quickly you will either spin or bog.

so this is where launch control help. After you get past the initial launch, the software should keep the wheel spin in check through first gear right?
