I have a 2019 Mustang GT PP1 6 Speed Manual. I am wondering how to get the best launch on no prep with the 275 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S? The best 0-62mph time I’ve seem to get is 5.3seconds but averaging around 5.6... I know they’re suppose to be in the mid to high 4 second range. I’ve tried launch control (so far do not like it) and I’ve tried launching without LC from 1500-3500... I’ve tried slipping the clutch, dumping the clutch, banging gears, shifting smoothly and shifting quickly still can’t seem to find the right sweet spot.. the best I’ve found was launching around 3000rpm and shifting quick but I still spin a bit and my car still seems to bog down some. This is my 5th manual car and I’ve never had a problem with a car bogging down before from launch like this one. Any suggestions to get my 0-62 time better and from stopping my engine from bogging down ?

One thing i like to do on a launch is make sure the revs are moving up as i release the clutch. But i also haven't got a good 0 to 60. The 2017 mt 82 with 3.73 rears needs to grab third to hit 60. So two shifts. My best is 5.9 and a regular road. Thats with reasonable shifts. Not break the car shifts. Really hate the rev hang between shifts. Though i guess that may actually give a better 0-60 truthfully.

The 19 hits it in 2nd gear... haven’t tried raising the Rpms while slipping the clutch tho maybe I’ll try that! Mine also has the 3.73s in the rear... maybe the best I’ll get with the 4s is a 5.3 on no prep but I’ve seen people getting high 4s but I also don’t know what their tire pressure was, the temp outside and the d/a my tire pressure is usually around 34 when hot.

There's a lot to it. Certainly not my specialty.

Warm those PS4s up a little bit. Just a touch. Turn off traction control and aim for a touch of wheel spin to get the rpms up.

Also try shifting out of first around 6000-6700 to limit wheelspin on the shift.

I do turn off traction control and advance trac. I haven’t really warmed up the PS4s and I’ve been usually shifting around 7000-7200rpm so maybe I’ll give what you recommended a try.
