I wanted opinions on how much rwhp it would take to get an A-10 car into the 9's
Starting with a 19 pp1 a10 with stage 2 whipple. Would e85 and a tune or methanol and a tune get close?
thanks in advance. JR

My understanding is that a whipple stage 2 with some octane booster and good tires will do it.

Years ago I ran 9’s in a turbo 4th gen fbody and 680 rwhp but it had more torque than your typical coyote.

A local guy who is also on this site ran high nines with a procharger setup on 93 and a 6R80 3C or 4C stall on footbrake. So assuming the A10 is so much better and capable of the HP it should be easily possible on 93 with a Whipple...and some good tires.

Read through the "whipple and still waiting" thread that moves around the front page. Pretty sure there's multiple 9 second time slips from race gas/octane booster and pullying down on stage 2.

This one:

There may be more out there but the only one I know of is FBOMB36 who went 9.7 on 93/octanium /3.75 pulley and 20 * timing ,tuned by PBD .
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...and-still-waiting.104455/page-18#post-2400213

I am at abut mid 800’s with the race gas /3.5 pulley , PBD tune /21-22* so in theory I should be making 75-100 more whp .
I am hoping for at least mid 9’s @145 + mph .

Not sure anyone has gone 9’s with the whipple calibration/93 but I know they went 9.7’s when testing their stage 3/flex tune .

What Boost are you seeing with that P1SC?

Any weight reduction? That 9.80 seems like a really good for 700rwhp, but I do see you have the 4c converter. That is a great run.

Not sure on boost. I run a 4.0 pulley, I pulled the seats on that pass but air was good. Don't think pulling the seats really makes a difference. Been 9.89 full interior tho in worse air.

I agree 700ish will get you there. Provided you can get a 1.4 sixty. I’ve been 10.2@136 spinning the 1-2 shift.
