Wow. You guys are paying huge premiums. I have state farm. $57.27 / mo (687 per year) on a 15 GT premium. I'm 43...maybe that's the reason why. 57/mo is the highest we have ever paid on a car. We live in central IL. Have 7 vehicles insured with them, all full cov or, as in the case of some classic cars, agreed value.

Someone made the comment they expect the premium to go up in 6 months....why would it? Mine start "high" and gradually decrease until they hit some sort of level for the car.
I think i read somewhere that the amount of your premium goes down the longer youre with that particular insurance company.

And im jealous youre paying 57 a month.

I've been with state farm, and same agent, since 1988 when I started driving. Also have home owners ins, life ins, all kinds of damn ins through them. maybe they "steal" enough through my other policies. oh well. 57 or 157 .... I still pay a shitload for all my policies. So, mute point on 57/mo I guess!!!!!!!!!!!

Insurance mostly has to do with area and then they take a handful of other factors and come up with the premium. Multicar discounts also factor in. I paid significantly less in high school when my entire family was on group insurance policy as the costs get spread. Do you also have your home insured with state farm? Having said that 100.00 per month on a 2015 GT premium convertible in my area is cheap for full coverage (my explorer is 110.00).

Driving without accidents, speeding tickets, DUI and so on what other members have posted here, we pay for our new Jeep Grand Cherokee and the new Mustang 161,66 CAD (140 USD) for our "DeLuxe insurance package". (5 year new replacement/ free hotel/ glass/ $2,000,000 and so on). Insurance: Desjardins. If my wife had more driving years we would be lower. She started driving 9 years ago.

Jeep GC $1,055, Mustang will be $885 per year, $250 deductible. Brings my Mustang insurance to $73.75 / month

And yes! I know that I am boring. Drove only a couple times around the world without tickets in Europe/ North America/Cuba/ Philippines etc.
I would like to know what some guys smoking sometimes. Boring?!

27 years old, 2 speeding tickets since I was 16 (both were taken off my record with driving school), and only 1 wreck since I was 16 that was reported to my insurance company.

I sat down with my State Farm office today and they quoted me:

$444 every 6 months on my 1997 Toyota Supra ($1,000 comp and collision)

$840 every 6 months on the 2015 GT PP that I have coming in February ($500 comp and collision)

So $2,568 a year ($214 per month) in damn insurance..... I pretty much looked at her like she was crazy and walked out.

I would like to apologize for being the reason that this thread has become derailed. For perspective I felt it was necessary to share my record, location, coverage and provider but clearly I attracted all the TROLLS who have contributed nothing of value to this thread. Feel free to make as many off topic(derogatory) comments as you trolls would like about me or my post because it doesn't bother me. All it does is add pages of pointless insults to what was an informative thread on insurance cost and coverage. Thank you haters for sharing your creative insults and a special thanks to those who actually posted about how much their insurance costs and their coverage. Stay classy 6gmustang.com
Yes stay classy on your next DUI....You are the reason insurance rates go up.

+1 I don't think you specifically attracted Trolls, just people with some common sense. You should be riding the bus.
