I ordered an R model on July 9th and got my VIN on August 25th so obviously very lucky based on what I can see for others on here?

Just got notification today that the scheduled production date for my car is the week of October 5th but I am sure that will get pushed out?

I'm curious what your VIN is? perhaps we should start a different thread for those with VIN's (and, hence, current build dates) so we can get a sense for the pace of production.
My VIN ends in 286 and the latest on my build week is Oct 12.

anyone receive an email from Ford "WBDO Order Summary"?

its says preview order, list all the specs and cost and the only thing different than I have seen on previous docs is the priority is now 01, it had been 60 and then 10 prior to this notification. No word from my rep yet on what that means.
I got this when my dealer placed my order yesterday. He told me it was just a preview, that I would receive the actual DORA in a day or two.

Wasn't that a VOC and the DORA was the confirmation that Ford accepted the VOC?
I think that is correct but I think I recall someone in prev thread stating it only means Ford acknowledges receipt of a vehicle order, whether there is an allocation for that order or not is a different matter. I would just guess that a priority code number would confirm that there is an allocation for that order and would feel better about my order if there was one. But I may be off base.

I have a reputable dealer that knows what they are doing, so I'm not worried about getting screwed. There is a member on another board that works for Ford and has the ability to check on orders using dealer and order numbers. He checked on mine 10 days ago and said that it was "In process-material hold".
Don't wish to create a firestorm and admit I'm pretty ignorant but would seem to me you want at least some priority code listed. Stated on previous threads that a DORA can be issued without an approved allocation and don't know if that is true but reasonable as it is only an acknowledgement that an order was sent, not confirmation of an allocation. Happy to be proven wrong however.

Did the priority code change? Or perhaps that means nothing if it's just a preview.

Look at the bright side, you can save for a bigger down payment if that's what you're doing and won't have to worry about the worst of winter during shipment and picking it up!
That's what I'm doing. Already have a big down payment + trade. Just making it bigger.

don't worry about what your priority code says. it's meaningless for the way these cars are being scheduled. these cars are all being scheduled in a manual way that circumvents the priority code system.

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum but I ordered mine a couple months back. 2016 gt350 with track pack. I had a build date for August but I talked to my dealer today and said it got moved to October. The ford rep told my dealer I am "suppose" to have the first 350 in the DC metropolitan region. Now it sounds like I will have it just in time to put it away for the winter...

Yes that has been discussed via the regional rep which is also the only one who can assign a 0-9 priority. So the manual process is the rep releasing the order and assigning a priority code. Everyone that has a VIN had the priority code bumped so there is something behind that.

I just ordered this week, have no VIN assigned, but the dealer told me this morning that the sales rep told him yesterday that it should be built "sometime between September and December". That doesn't seem right.

Interesting. I ordered this week as well, and judging by this forum and how long it has taken some people from order date to build date, it doesn't seem like the car will be built until January or February.

Just can't get enuff!
^ You guys have to remember that these estimates are target dates; therefore they may or may not change.

The estimated Sep-Dec build timeframe can indeed be pushed into the new year! i.e. Oct-Jan... or Nov-Feb...

Nothing new. That's why it's coined as target build dates or target production weeks, etc...
