Early days, people. Early days. Gotta work the kinks out. I'm perfectly fine with having a later production car, especially one with a brand new engine.

Member PP0001 is getting his 15 this week. It's already in transit and may already be delivered to the dealer.Other than Carbon Rev having challenges meeting the demand for the wheels I don't know. We should see the 2015's released anytime now.![]()
They're not built in sequence. At least not lately. I have Boss #170 as in the 170th one produced. There's nothing even close to 170 in my VIN.I hope your correct, but my source has told me none have been built. I also have a friend that is not on this forum(At least I don't think he is) that has a production number lower than 50 and his has not been built. Supposedly the are to be built in vin sequence???
First there's a video that Ford released that shows the first cars coming off the line. So if you don't believe me at least believe Ford. ;)
I want to believe you! Trust me I do!
But I think that was more for the media than anything else.
And who says that's an actual 16? Could have been one of the 37 R's from the 15 production??? I don't know, hell no one knows except Ford and they ain't spilling any beans and I'm sure Carol Shelby knows but he ain't spilling anything either.
I'm going to bed and praying to the car gods to see if I can get to the bottom of this. I'll post what I find out in the am
The word I got from Ford Performance.I'm not sure where the impression that they'll be built by VIN number comes from.
I wasn't questioning when the 15's where built. I know that they where built in July and they been sitting at the plant for more than a month. I was saying do we know, that was a 16? Or could they possibly gone out grabed one of the 15's put it on what appears to be the end of the production line and drove it off? Hell the front chin splitter and rear spoiler where both installed. I was under the impression that those would not be installed (to prevent damage during transport) until the car reached the dealer. So was this staged?Boy you're a tough one. The 2015's were built in July and have been sitting for over a month. Seriously do some research before questioning stuff that most know already. All this info is posted on another Mustang Forum.
That's all I'm asking.
what make you think this is not a 2015 GT350R?:shrug:First there's a video that Ford released that shows the first cars coming off the line. So if you don't believe me at least believe Ford. ;)
What makes you think it is? Approximately 50 2016's have already been built. No reason to believe me and I'm done.what make you think this is not a 2015 GT350R?
Okay, I think this is going in the wrong direction:doh:What makes you think it is? Approximately 50 2016's have already been built. No reason to believe me and I'm done.

Getting your VIN / building the car really doesn't have anything to do with when you ordered it. It has to do with when your particular dealer's allocation is scheduled for. You should ask your dealer to ask their Ford Rep if they have visibility on what quarter they'll be able to fulfill that particular allocation. They may / may not have visibility on that yet.Well crap. So I probably won't see a VIN on mine for another month?
Ordered on August 14th.
