I care about infotainment
I intentionally avoided driving a 5.0 until the '15s came out. I didn't want to buy another '10-'14 body style.

I am now in total love/lust with the S550. :love:I was immediately impressed with the engine, but what blew me away was the handling on a terribly bumpy but wonderfully curvy road and how the IRS put that power down comfortably. Addictive.
Yep, that's exactly the feeling/thoughts I had after driving the S550. IRS really makes huge difference. I just wish we had some mountains here in FL so I could do some canyon carving.

Looks like we're both in the same boat upgrading from S197s to 2016s. I'm going with Guard but Ruby Red was my 2nd choice.

I bet we are both gonna be happy with the upgrade!

Funny thing was when I took the '15 GT on a test drive (dealer let us have it all day) when my friend drove it and we hit about 85 WOT (on a deserted, country road) the damn thing actually scared me. Only because I wasn't driving! You know, when something is pulling that hard at that speed and you aren't in control and you're in a curve, it's a little freaky.

We have some great, smooth mountain roads here where I live but I intentionally took it on the bumpiest, nastiest, curvy road (and I'm talking switchbacks, slow 2nd gear stuff) that was close by to see how it would do and I was sold right there.

I have Koni/Steeda suspension on my '10 and I would literally have crashed/lost control doing what was not even causing the '15 to jump. And this was the standard GT with 18" wheels and A/S tires!

Increased exposure almost always affects tolerance levels.
More you drink, the more you need to get drunk.
A good movie example of chasing that rush is the classic Point Break.

I was suppose to trade in my 08' Civic coupe M5speed when the Mustang arrived in Feb, but the NY weather was so bad that I decided to hold on to the Civic which I still drive to work, so for me the Mustang still feels good, especially on those 55 to 140 blasts on a deserted highway.....:D

Pretty soon members on here will be going to roller coasters and sport bikes, like a methadone for speed, lol...

Some of you are very lucky to have spent enough years in cars that make the GT feel slow. This thing is as fast to 120 mph or so as many supercars were not all that long ago.

Really I just wanted my 2011 GT's speed back. Now I'm just shooting for the moon. I'll be truly amazed if I get used to 800hp.

Too late for me:D

4 belong to my wife & I and the others are my kids. Not in the pic is my modded FZ1 that I've been north of 180mph on.

Two months. Now I feel like I own brick with the brakes locked up. But I'm poor and a f*cking cheapskate, so it's not like I was going to do better.

My GT typically doesn't feel "fast" until I'm going "license taken away" speed, which I don't stretch it to very often, because, you know...I like driving.

Maybe I've just had too many "quick" vehicles - last 3 were either turbocharged or supercharged with a flat torque band that kicks in low, so the Mustang doesn't feel substantially faster. It must be the way the torque builds.

I sold a full bolt-on 2000 Mustang GT to make room for the 2015. Mine felt slow when I bought it home. It doesn't have the punch that I was use to in the daily drive.
