I can understand the fear of drying up 14 sales but the way it seems is there are plenty of people jumping on the 14's that just don't like the way the 15 looks. The delay does raise the stakes tho if it ends up being a big increase it will all be worth it but if we waited this long to hear that we got 10 more horsepower it's going to suck majorly however if it was a modest bump then I don't see any advantage to not releasing it as in the only people waiting for the 15 are due to the styling (which we already know) or a large enough horsepower bump. Who knows I'd be satisfied with 450 :) and I'm intrigued by the fact it appears to be using forged internals which was the weak spot in the current generation Mmm I smell 14lbs of boost

Oh man, today is the day and that is all the info we get, and Ford want us to plunk down $25,000/$40,000 of our hard earned money and we DON"T know any real HP numbers or TORQUE or WEIGHT,when I saw that 420HP I thought that can"t be right, should be closer to it"s gonna be 450+ HP for 2015, and only 5 HP difference between Eco boost 4 banger and the 6 banger, whats up with that. This is just a TOTAL let down, and I can"t even think of the 100-200 pound weight reduction, where are the NUMBERS and the price, OMG Ford what are you thinking, this has got to come to an end.:lol::lol::lol:

Who would ever place an order on an item without having all the stats and facts? I never purchase anything unless I know all the information about it.

The slow trickle of info is getting annoying. If this is just to keep the 14s selling then that is really lame.

This is getting ridiculous. I am sure the few handful of customers who won't order until specs means nothing to Ford. They are a Corporation and looking for every last sale, I guess.

The Holy Grail in the Mustang world was April 17th, and not much happened then.

Of course they are, this a business. I expect ford to milk every last 2014 sale until they can't. Ford know's their "2015 buyers" will be there waiting.

You really think that the news of Hellcat is gonna switch that many people from 2015 Mustang to the Hellcat ? :headbonk:

It wouldn't sway me, I was just talking about them getting their news out the door quicker. Besides I am sure it will be heavy and quite a bit more $ than the Mustang.

I agree! That car looks great and has a nice setup but not for me at all.

I just ordered my LE about an hour ago. The only orders today are for dealer stock and LE's. The dealer doesn't care about the cost or stats, he just wants cars that he believes will sell. That is why some dealers are asking for deposits. They only get a few to order, the rest are pushed to them by the regional sales team. If you are a good customer or plunk down a deposit, they will go with a sure sell.

The reason the specs out are due to the government certs not being complete. They don't want to release numbers now and then redact them later because the EPA or NTSB made them change something. When I talked to Pericak last month, he didn't expect numbers until the summer, (when is summer in MI?) but assured the group of us talking to him, that we would be very happy.
