Let us hope it is a case of a foreign journalist using whatever numbers come to mind. I'm not counting on a big jump but 6 HP and 0 TQ isn't much at all unless there is a LOT more extra under the curve.I don't think we've seen anything official, but that's interesting nonetheless. I'm sure hoping that the 5.0 picks up more than 6 horsepower and adds some torque as well. I'm hoping for 445 - 455 HP and 400+ torque.
Whew, thanks. So they just reposted what all the other lazy journalists have so far. How is EVERYONE missing the words "more than"?Just checked my conversion, the article state 313 Kilowatts, this converts to 420 HP, not the 426 they have listed. 227 kW converts to 305 HP, not the 309 they have listed. They didn't check their math. (Go figure). Lazy journalism but what do you expect. They have just gone with the 420/390 number from the current Coyote and the around 305 HP quote from Ford on the EB4.
More likely we're reading too much into those words.Whew, thanks. So they just reposted what all the other lazy journalists have so far. How is EVERYONE missing the words "more than"?
For our sales/dealers on the site:
Could the order banks open on the 20th WITHOUT Ford releasing the order guides or pricing? Has that ever happened before?
The reason I ask (at at the risk of being chastised for it) is that GM has 0% for 72 months on leftover 2013 ZL1's right now until June 2nd. I'm not a big fan of Camaro but 580 HP and NO interest has me intrigued. I really need to see final Mustang pricing soon and would REALLY like to know HP/TQ figures. I'm getting antsy and I need information to make the right decision. Thanks for any of our sales/dealers chiming in.
It is but it doesn't include a FULL factory warrantee and you can't finance the parts and install on 0%/72 months. That rate is the key for me.2015 Mustang GT plus Kennebell > ZL1 Camaro in all ways!
That is the thing, it maybe WON'T. The 0% deal ENDS on June 2nd. There is no guarantee that GM will extend it past that date. The ZL1 deal will always be there so no need to rush.
Hopefully it will be leaked here then.when the order banks open, of course dealers will have all the " order guides " which include option breakdowns and costs involved, believe me, the public will also get in on it..lol.
Actually that was order banks info from the CONCEPS system accessible to dealers which as I understand is a preview of options and codes. As indicated here, Ford has stated that order guides are still being finalized. I'm sure one of the dealers on the site can confirm but I believe CONCEPS is preliminary/unofficial info that can still change in the official order guides. It's already been leaked here. ;-)
