How important is a relay?

This diagram shows a connection to a single device. If there are multiple low powered devices how does one connect them? One relay per device or...?

Which devices do you want to connect?
How many amperes do they need?
Which kind of switch do you want to use, how is it rated in regard of amperes?

Most relay's are rated for 30 amps. You can add as much as you want, just don't exceed the rating. I use a relay to power an aux fuse box and power all my accessories. This allows individual monitoring of all the circuits.

No need for a relay at all, if the switch can handle the amps.

I have a SPST relay to a fused Blue Sea block which I’ll run all my lighting off of.
Run your constant 12v off your fuse block unless you have another source of constant. I use my trunk light circuit as my switched 12v so the lights will only come on when the trunk is open.
