I use a piece of 100 grit sandpaper. I had special gloves made of the material, and that's how I drive. I don't want my hands slipping on the steering wheel, and when I go to get out, I usually forget to take them off and leave them in the passenger seat. I don't notice until I slam the door as hard as I can, and see the scuff mark that I've repeated day after day since buying new.

it's a door... I usually slam it shut with my hand.
I'm surprised that there are so many of detail oriented Mustang owners on this forum. Lots of car lovers here!
Finger prints on the door... I don't think I've noticed or cared about it.
DANG!! I probably have tons of finger prints on my paint. Y'all got me looking for things that wouldn't normally bother me!

If someone is parked next to me I usually whip the door open as hard as possible, leap out of it, and somehow make it out alive before the door rebounds off the other vehicle and slams shut.

I use the edges of the glass, and give it a nudge that is just enough for it to close the door by momentum. But I start the motion gently, so that I am not really flexing the glass. It closes really easily.

Guess I'll try the rubber seal idea next.

It is a car door. I just close it. Never think twice about how or where I touch it.

Sometimes, car guys are just weird. I mean that in the nicest of ways.

A flying side kick seems to work very well.
