This is the best tip your ever going to get. If you are doing donuts in a parking lot and a cop pulls you over, just tell them you are driving your car north where there is snow and you are practicing driving in winter conditions and getting a feel for your car.

Worked for my friend here in Canada. They were hooning around in a parking lot with snow, cop came and he said he was training his GF to drive in snow weather conditions. Cop left them off with a warning.

If you have access to a less than nice rear wheel drive car or truck, go to a dirt road somewhere in the middle of nowhere, so you don't tick off residents, and practice sliding around corners. Shallow ditches are nice when you lose it and end end up in one...you can drive right out.

I grew up on dirt roads and learned a lot of car control techniques that only got better once I got more hp and applied it to tarmac.

turn in the direction you want to do one, stay in first or second. push the clutch in and let it out fast while flooring the accelerator. you will lose traction and need to counter steer. modulate throttle at high RPM to keep rear tires from regaining grip.

bro its easy, rev it, drop the clutch with the wheel turned, spin in circles. you can do wider ones that aren't as tight by modulating the throttle though...i did them in my miata all the time cause it was a cheap ass car with cheap tires, and i did it once in my fd.

When my kids (I have 4 kids) were new drivers I would take them out on a snow day to play & learn. I did have a cop stop us once then I explained what we were doing. He said great idea but be careful & keep the learning in the parking lot.:D

Nothing like doing donuts in a 1999 4x4 Suburban.
