Not sure on the cost of the concrete. Stucco is painted (sprayed on). Yessir, we‘re more than ready to get in there. I hope the weather holds this week, so the concrete guys can pour. I’m being told they like to pour on Friday’s for some reason 🤷‍♂️.
Fridays?...to minimize the opportunities for other trades to walk, drive, run wheelbarrows over their fresh concrete. Good plan!

I hadn’t thought of that, but it makes perfectly good sense.

Except when we’re getting hammered with rain like right now. How was it about you?

It wasn’t raining at the house today, but it was thundering and raining pretty good when we left the apartment (which is only 9 miles away) on our way up there.

We just need to catch a break for a few days to get it poured. Once it’s poured, the right amount of rain can actually help with curing, but too much can have a negative impact on the process.

That was my biggest worry when our house was being poured as well. But so far so good the drainage here is fantastic and nothing has come close to the house at all even during the worst storms. I hope it works out for you my friend. As mentioned before I know you’re anxious to get in there.

Yes, I met with the excavator and the project manager just before the work began and informed both of them that making sure there were no drainage issues was paramount.

All framed up with wire mesh and chairs in place.

Unless they pour late this afternoon, it’s unlikely that it will happen today. This was the one day in the 10 day forecast that it was to be sunny all day too. Not sure how the rain will impact this prep work if it happens before the pour.

The trim guys were back at it today though. I do see them finishing their work by the end of the day.

Nice views - is it land locked where you built, meaning no one can build where there is land in those images?

Thanks! Sort of…no one will ever build behind us, as that is a retention area. There are a few lots for sale to the right of the driveway. If anyone ever buys and builds there, the back of those houses would be facing the direction of our garages.

The concrete driveway and lanai extension were finally able to be placed today, after rainy weather had delayed things for almost a week.
