Minor patch work needed here where the red arrow is. The smoke detector electrical box needs to be relocated because it conflicted with the crown molding.

Update:

I have several short videos and still pics to share from today’s site check. The painters are almost done inside, just a little more cutting in from walls to ceilings and it’ll be a wrap.

The garage doors were also installed, but there was an error made on the 3 car side regarding the door tracks. The garage door company installed standard height tracks, when they should have installed a high lift kit. Not a huge deal and should be corrected in the next 2-3 weeks.

It is great that you have taken a LOT of pictures and videos. I have learned they come in very handy years down the road when wanting to make changes, so you don't chance cutting through wires, plumbing, or if you need to tie into those utilities. My daughter-in-law for instance wanted to put a laundry drop from their 2nd floor master closet into the laundry room directly below. Looking at the many construction photos taken, we determined approximately half of the house wiring used that location as a feeder raceway. So it was nice that we didn't have to cut exploratory holes in the floor or ceiling to find her project was not possible.

The painters have just about finished up, although I’m sure they’ll be back for some touchup work in the near future. The electricians also came back ahead of schedule and started installing the outlets and wall switches.

Thanks! I‘m more than ready to put it to good use.
You could rent it to me. I’ll store the M1 there and get me a used GT to drive around. 🙂

Lol, all space has been accounted for. In a perfect world, I would have liked to have had a 50X80 detached garage with its own bathroom, shower, parts storage and a machine shop.

Well then maybe I can just bring over a bottle of whiskey and we can sit outside and look at all the cars. 😉

Cabinets have finally been delivered! They were supposed to have been delivered two weeks ago, but they’re here now. Hopefully by the end of the week, they should be done with the install, so that the countertop guys can measure, cut and install the tops.

The HVAC guys are almost done with their work too. All they have left to do is install the furnace, fill the condenser with refrigerant and test the system.

The electricians need about 1-2 more days to wrap things up. I did test out the LED lights in the shop area and it’s pretty bright out there. I like it!

More progress today. Cabinet work was ongoing and the excavator began his work prepping the driveway to be framed and poured. We also had him prep to extend the patio another 15’ off of the lanai out back.

The trim carpenters were able to get back in there today, while the cabinet installers were out. They’re knocking out the baseboards and other details.

What I was really happy to see was the excavation work and framing taking place in preparation for the concrete pour. Gonna be lots of concrete (around 200 cubic yards, + or -).

200 yds, holy …. . That’s about 16k feet on the flat. Any idea what it runs a yd there? Just poured a foundation and I was at $200yd, 3200 3/4 with fiber. Meant to ask to, on your stucco is the color paint or acrylic, sprayed or troweled on. Bet you‘re getting anxious, gett’n close. Very cool.

Not sure on the cost of the concrete. Stucco is painted (sprayed on). Yessir, we‘re more than ready to get in there. I hope the weather holds this week, so the concrete guys can pour. I’m being told they like to pour on Friday’s for some reason 🤷‍♂️.
