Ok, got my car back this afternoon. As a whole in comparison to how it looked before repairs, it looks great.

With that said .... Here's where I could certainly use some fellow member insight.

I couldn't get a great look at the car since it had a lot of pollen on it at the shop. I got it home and wiped it down in my garage. I have two long florescent ceiling lights in my garage I used to go over it with (using angles). I've been able to pick up anywhere from 10-30 small dimples in the paint. These aren't big dents or anything like pre-repair, but they certainly weren't on the car when it was purchased. 1K on the odometer at time of storm. I'm making my first payment on the car today.

I've never had PDR done on any of my previous vehicles. Am I being over-critical? I asked my buddy if he could see anything and he couldn't but he was never trained in detecting flaws like I was when I worked in insurance. Also, the shop was quick to throw out that "You'll never be able to tell anything happened to it." when I was having the estimate done and dropping it off.

I could certainly use as many bits of insight as possible? I'm at least waiting until tomorrow before I call the shop back since I have a few "car guy" buddies at work I wanna bounce this off of as well.

The reunion of my car and I is mostly sweet, but there's still some bitterness mixed in there.
No you have the right to make your new car look new again. You already have a weather claim and I'm sure it's already over a 1,000 paid by insurance. My car had $16,000 in work done and besides the trunk lid getting repainted next week the car was returned to new or really better as I find more wrong with the factory work and not my body shop guy's work. They where nice enough to wet sand and buff the whole car so really it has very little orange peel. Really did a top notch job besides the trunk lid that looks good in most lightly but has bubbles from wiping before applying clear coat that sticks out in some lighting. And no blending off any paint all clean panel paints.

I am in west county. Let me know if you want to meet some place. I can give you an objective "car nerd" look and see what I can see.

PM me if you want to.

There is no way PDR will be able to fix it perfect. Even the best PDR I Have still been able to see ever so slight deviations in the sheet metal.

IMO I would have started this with replace the entire panels... I am way to anal to have slight variations throughout the car when looked at via angles or specific lighting.

Ok, I sat on everything for 48 hours trying to weigh this and that. I called the shop today and am taking it in tomorrow to attempt to point out my issues. I also noticed where they fixed the driver fender the body sticks out about 1/2" where it connects to the door. That was pretty much the last straw.

This stuff is very minimal but I at least owe it to my ride to try to get everything as close to new as possible. I'll update with how it goes.

Thanks everybody for their input. It's been a rough experience to say the least.

I did however get a little loose in her on the way back from lunch today. I know I'm not the only one who likes to slide the ass end out here and there when safe to do so.

That stinks. But it would bug me until it was fixed 100% right.

Are you talking at the bottom of the door? Like this:

If so, you sure this wasn't like this before?

So a similar bend but on the front side of the door on the driver side fender. I've looked at it a bunch of times when staring at the body lines before hand and never noticed it. It appears to me it's almost the exact height of where they pulled the dent out from the shopping cart impact on the same fender.

I appreciate the reference as I'm going to the dealer next Tuesday for some small grievances that haven't been resolved, but I'm thinking this one is from the body work.
