hey guys, dumb question probably, but why doesn't water get into the engine bay through the open hood vents?

Some will at a car wash, when driving the air coming out keep the water out.

The left side has drain channels built in to the hood liner. They can be seen when the hood is open. They channel water away from the CAI. Right side is open. There is nothing for water to hurt.

Right side maybe get fuse box wet , had that on my 14 , so I put a roucsh hood scoop on it thinking it would help , ended up putting carbon fiber cover overtop of box too, it kept it dry
