Hi Folks

I am in the process of acquiring the PP2 in the pic. It's a 2019 with only 5K miles. I test drove it today and LOVE IT. The only thing that kinda bothers me about the car is the hood. I think it looks good. But driving it kind of "gets in the way" being higher than stock. You can't see the front.
Its fiberglass and the paint looks good. But just thinking about replacing it with stock.

The Ford dealer I called JUST IN CASE I want to replace quoted 912.00 for a stock hood minus paint.

Should I leave it? What you guys think? I probably could get used to it.

Well, you can't really see the front of the hood with stock anyway. Probably see more than with that though.
As for replacing it I'd get a used hood from ebay or somewhere and, if you can't find the same color, have it painted. Probably be way cheaper in the long run.

Yes, leave it. You can always find OEM if you really don't like it or find someone willing to trade you

Keep it, give it a chance. I'm a tad biased because I love those super snake type hoods. I'm all but certain you'll get used to it quickly and as others have said, with OEM hood you can't see the front anyway, the body sort of falls away.

Yeah, I'll look I guess on Ebay?

What's everyone's thoughts on it as is?

Yeah was thinking the same thing about giving it a chance.

If the vents are open, they will be considered functional and can help extract heat from the engine bay which is a good thing. Use that hood to your advantage.

Sit in a normal one and see what the difference really is. If you don’t like it I’m sure someone would be willing to swap hoods with you. Just make sure it’s an actual pp2 and doesn’t just have wheels added on though.

I think it looks gorgeous. And you can't see the front with the stock hood anyway.
I would trade mine for it without hesitation. :inlove:

OK Next question!

There is the 2 openings in the front. It seems there is nothing that blocks anything going in rain, debris.
Now being stupid me, I didn't open the hood to look at the engine this first time. I only have a dealer pic of the engine.
Should there be something in the scoops to catch anything going through? Or is this hood and CAR just a sunny day driver?

Call the dealership and ask the salesman to pop the hood and take some good pics of the underide of the hood and the engine bay and post them on here, so that we’ll have a better idea of how the hood functions. I‘m thinking it’s an extractor style food, given that it has vents in the back too.
