Just because what you think is a good value and they dont doesnt make them any of those things. Value is and always will be subjective.
And that's why you get endless arguing on chat boards about shit like 'what car is better' ... 'what oil is better' ... 'what tires are better' ... 'what xyx is better' ... etc, etc.

People decided what's best for them, and spend their money on shit they want or need ... not what others in the world think is better for them.

Some things like oil , is very factual. If they want to ignore those facts and buy whats a better value for their wallet, well thats completely different  There is always xyz factor that makes one thing better for one person over another. If its performance driven, cost driven, lack of caring, comfort etc

Just because what you think is a good value and they dont doesnt make them any of those things. Value is and always will be subjective. In my opinion i dont find honda to be a good value, they dont check off the things i find important. I chose, ford, subaru and toyota and a few other brands over honda. I dont even consider hondas anymore. Havent for years. They stopped being a brand i like and find value in.
In that case it doesn't matter what anyone says. Ford could sell the GT350 for $20,000 and JDM/Mopar/BMW etc etc guys could say I'd never waste that much money on a Ford because Found On Road Dead vehicles are POS, and you couldn't pay me to drive one. Ok, great it's all subjective.

I'd rather take a reasonable unbiased approach based on common sense, math and facts.

As has been already pointed out, the Accord is one of the most awarded and highly acclaimed vehicles of our time. It's also near the top of the list of most reliable cars, and has been for a very long time. And it's always been considered a good-to-great value in the automotive field.

It's also one of the top selling vehicles for a long time. Hint: It's not because it's a bad value. ;)

But sure everyone's entitles to their bias and ignorance...especially on fanboi sites!..so carry on...

It's well received because it delivers on what most people want. If, for whatever reason, most Americans instead wanted an exciting car to drive that turns heads and spins tires, the Accord wouldn't be getting many awards. So we're back to subjectivity...

Also, don't knock performance forums for not caring about reliability and fuel economy. Go find a Honda forum where that stuff is discussed - if there even is one. I'm sure it's a very interesting and exciting place to talk about how many miles you've driven without breaking anything or brag about those sick mpg numbers your pulling.

You are taking this way too personal in my opinion. Good to great value is based on opinion/need/want etc not fact. Its a bad value to those that want different things. I want awd or 4x4 for my daily. Honda is pathetic in that category. Toyota and subaru arent, fords 4x4 is a better system then honda as well. Like i said value is subjective. To the people that are placing importance on things like fwd, fuel economy blah blah, they find it to be a good value. Some of us want and or need better features or better operation. Like for example again, 4x4 or awd. Honda isnt a good value. Just because a lot of people have basic or simple needs from a vehicle doesnt automatically make honda a good value to everyone. Its not bias. You really could stand to stop that. Yes some dont like honda. I personally dont find hondas are built well anymore. My standards will differ from yours as well. I also have higher standards on what i expect in my opinion because of working in the industry. You like honda, everyone clearly gets that. Just remember everyones standards arent yours, consumer reports, car and driver and any other award the accord has gotten.

I'm simply defending what I believe to be accurate info. Just like you do when people talk sh*t about Subie ;)

In addition to spreading inaccurate info here (Particulary FordTechOne) there's a tendency for you guys to belittle what you don't choose.

For example, the Accord is about way more then just fuel economy, or basic and simple needs. There is so much more to it then that. I won't waste time pointing out all the great attributes of the car again.

strange to see Honda Accord bashing when its a Car and Driver 4.5 / 5.0

I bet one in V6 / manual would be plenty fun

This thread should be Honda Accord V6 vs Mustang V6 / EB (stock)

Everyone wants to be the "king of the world". If they can't get agreement from their peers, then the world isn't worth living anymore - LoL. It's a huge flaw in society these days. :D

And there would be no need for the VS. section if everyone thought the exact same way. But I don't come to an automotive forum to correct the flaws of society.:D
