Someone has hit my passenger side door mirror. The bottom of the mirror has been knocked off. The mustang symbol that illuminates doesn't really look like a mustang anymore... more of just a blob.

Anyone know where I can find a replacement?

If not.. I guess my only other option is to turn it into insurance. I have a $250 deductible, so, not sure which route would be cheaper.

If the mirror is the only damaged part and nothing else, just buy the parts. No sense on filling an insurance claim and have that on record for something like that. Check out autonation Ford White Bear.

It isn't just the deductible cost. If you can't identify who did it, your insurance company will assume you did it, and will likely adjust your rates upward accordingly.

Just replace it out of pocket. Hurts like hell sometimes, but you don't need the claim on your record.

I can't find a replacement. And have no idea what it will cost to pay out of pocket.

Could be cheap.. maybe not at all once ordered.. maybe I have to get it color matched.. etc. Etc..

Search and price shop eBay - it should be easy to find a complete mirror, even in your exact color for far less than Dealer cost.

Hit up Levittown Ford on here if you just need the Pony Projector light. It’s specific by L & R side and I think another difference might be that the 2018/19’s are LEDs.

LKQ also is another source for new take offs and used Ford parts.

Even with a $250 Ins deductible, it’s not worth the raised insurance premium for 3 years... and don’t believe any Adjuster when they say “oh, it won’t raise your rates at all”...

We had one insurer raise our (homeowner's) rates even though they didn't pay anything out.

They came out to look at some damage from a storm, said we weren't covered for what happened, but still raised our rates because "we had put in a claim". Bastards, all of them.

Switch insurance companies. We use an independent insurance broker and she protects us from that sort of stuff.

I had the same thing happening to my last car, a 2016 Hyundai Genesis.
I had to order the entire mirror assembly... The dealer couldn't order individual parts for it. It was around $350 for that car...

We had called our independent broker to ask what to do. She was the one who submitted it to the insurance company.

FWIW, we are no longer with either of them.

It's never worth it to turn just a mirror in. Pay it and move on. Happened to my wife last year. For our f150 it was about 350 installed for a replacement. I imagine a mustang mirror is cheaper. Oh and don't go for a new OEM one if you have a choice, save the money and get an lkq.
