My car is a 2018 5.0 NA with Kooks catted headers and high flow cats. My tuner is telling me to just remove the cats because they will blow out sometime soon anyways. The high flow cats have been on the car for 35k miles. Is my tuner accurate?

Cats life depends on the owner and how they drive it.

If YOU beat on a car, then shut it off moments later.... (like a dyno pull) get ready for the cats to check out quick. However with big power and proper cooling time and a rich toon, they can live a good life.

I daily drive mine with 700+ HP, and stick rock the factory kitty cats. :)

If your N/A I would say he is incorrect.

Most high flow cats are not exactly functional cats. Even boosted there isn’t much there to worry about. NA though, you should be fine.

I have Kook's headers with the high flow cats. I'm at 675rwhp and haven't had any issues so far. Happier than a pig in the mud.

I personally have ARH with high flows 1-7/8x3. No issue and will keep them when the blower is installed in March.
