Just something to think over.
The Cats you mentioned are a failure waiting to happen. If you’re set on going down the road of metal substrate high flows cats be sure what you use has a furnace brazed core, mantled if you can afford it.
I’ve seen far to many substandard cats unwind and melt to the point of horrible engine damaging back pressure.
For starters take a look at the link below. There are only a few other High flows that I’d suggest.
https://www.stainlessbros.com/Catalytic-Converter_c_84.html
I've looked into the HFC's and the #1 HFC seems to be the HO 500WHP per/cat or UHO 850WHp per/cat for boosted applications that are from G-Sport by GESI but they are $1000CAD just for 2 HFC! Flowmaster has gotten alot of bad rep on their HFC's "inner cores rattling" and haven't heard anything bad about the Magnaflow's and that brand is a recognized. I'm not boosted and have no burble tune like some idiots so chances of that HFC getting damaged it's pretty slim but thanks for the advice!

P.S. Right after I finished writing, clicked on your link and of course your link brings me to GESI HFC!

As I mentioned I seen more than a few.
There’s nothing quality about those cats.
HJS are the best of the best.
GESI is a Canadian company and 1000.00 is a fair price point.
Do you need the CARB approved stamp ? If not get the non-CARB models.
That CARB stamp is about $30,000.00 so that’s the price difference.

No it doesn't have to be CARB approved as I do not live in the US and in Canada but do want a 400CPSI but seems like GESI has only 300CPSI. I know the lower the CPSI the louder the exhaust will be so on the fence with 300CEL because no one is coming up and saying how much percentage the overall tone has been reduced before and after their HFC install so I can get an idea??? The S550's CPSI is around 700 from what I've read. If I can't find someone chances are I'll just sell the MAK race pipes on Kijiji.

That’s correct but you must factor in the substrate is ceramic. Ceramic has a bunch more attenuation vs metal no matter the cpsi count.
Figure about 35% increase going metal substrate

You mean 35% decrease in volume if I'm adding these cats to my catless race pipes right?

No.
Being you mentioned 700 cpsi OE ceramic the 35% I stated is an average based on OEM cats changed to 300/400 cpsi metal substrate.
Your not going to knock down the dB’s very much with any metal cat, 100,200,300,400 won’t do much.

Ok thanks and if that's the case I'll just sell the MAK Race Pipes!

Borla mid resonator and keep the MAK’s
Or a Milltek Sport mid resonator.
That will get you exactly the sound you’re after.

If I took that route I'm not sure if I can deal with the exhaust fumes, it's horrendous! Had the MAK setup for one day and wasn't pleasant driving around catless as a daily driver but to get that mid louder tone your option is best and I still have my stock resonator too, its just the fumes!

So did you revive this thread for sound or fume mitigation ? Up until now it’s been sound.
Didn't think it would be that bad but after adding the MAK race pipes the fumes was intolerable. I'll most likely stick with my current setup and already have them for sale on Kijiji!

Honestly, if you’re running a mid resonator I think some good high flows should do exactly what you want while cleaning up the toxic fumes.
If you’re interested contact Rich at;
https://m.facebook.com/rv6performance/
They sell Performance Industries brazed 300 cpsi high flows that are affordable and hold up to turbo type heat. The P.I. cats are US made and as good or better than GESI.
Again, funny how you've directed me to RV6 performance as these were the guys I had bought all of my exhaust components from when I had my Accord 5+ years ago! :-) Cheers
