I was installing my diode dynamics rear fender LED lights, and when I had my hand up inside the driver's side area, I felt something loose against my fingers. I wiggled it over (easily, it was obviously not attached to anything) and then this fell out!

I tried to search online using the Part #s I see on the part, but it just turns up an F250 air vent part. Did this somehow end up in my car during build or is this something important that I need to reinstall in that area?

I just bought the car in January and it only has 500 miles on it - never been in for servicing or warranty work, etc...

Thanks!

It's a cabin vent to let air out when you close your doors

If you've ever wondered how the air gets out of your car when you have the fan set really high and recirculation mode turned off, or you slam the doors shut, now you know  I'm sure farts also escape this way, too

Maybe this pic will help. I took it when I was dynamatting my trunk. I believe that vent will have to be pressed in from the outside of the trunk. For orientation - the "black squiggles" in the upper left corner are on the inner fender well.

I believe because of the 'lip' or flange on the vent you will have to snap it in from the outside. I think there are plastic clips that will engage to hold it in place.
