Hey guys,
Need some help choosing new wheels and tires for my auto 2017 gt mustang. Currently running Roush axle backs, Roush x pipe, Roush CAI, gt350 intake mani with blowfish throttle body adapter so I could keep the stock throttle body, Lund 93 tune, Eibach front and rear away bars, and pedders extreme coils. I have the California special so my current setup is square 255/40/19 with a 19x8.5 wheel and pirelli p zero Nero (terrible ass tire). I’m looking to move to another square setup, want to keep my cornering capability, but also don’t want to be slipping every time I step on it. Any recommendations for wheel and tire size? Also brand of tires? Was think of the Michelin pilot sport 4 s

Thanks for your help guys
Chris

Hello Chris,

Nice list of mods! Are you looking for a setup to accommodate the performance your Mustang is pushing? We would recommend going with a wheel size 19x10 35MM front and 19x11 50MM rear. Tire size 285/35/19 Front and 325/30/19 Rear.
Here is a list of good tire brands: Michelin Pilot Sport 4s, Continental Extreme Contact Sport, Nitto Invo or Hankook Ventus V12.

Square 19x10 ET35 or ET40 with a 285/35R19 tire is always a good square setup. MP4S is a great street tire. There are stickier tires, but not many as well rounded.

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S is an amazing tire. I didn't realize just how good it was until I drove on them, wow. Reviews only go so far, but these things are the real deal. We are currently running a sale on wheel and tire packages here at APEX. You can find more information at this link: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/apex-mustang-wheel-packages-save-up-to-450-off.110176/

Below is one of our featured packages that is $400 off MSRP. I cannot list pricing in this thread but feel free to PM me if you're interested.

(4) 19x10” ET40 EC-7 Wheels in any finish
(4) TPMS Sensors & Color Match Metal Valves Stems
(4) 285/35-19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S Tires
Free Mount & Balance

Here is Stephen's gorgeous 2015 GT on this exact setup. No spacers necessary or concerns about rubbing. Best part is being able to still rotate your tires around to extend their life.
