Thanks all. After the few races I've done, I feel like the local club wouldn't care until my pax starts getting to the top of the list as there are active s550 drivers in both STP and FS that would take notice.

Saying that, the V6 is actually gone, traded in for a base GT over the weekend. Non-PP and non-premium with the 18x8.0 wheels.
I've been told that 8.5 is legal width for FS, but cant determine why. Which OE basr wheel was available in 8.5? Is it because base nonpp, nonpremium can have the 20x8.5 wheel? Understood that I shouldnt take it so serious, but i am buying wheels and tires anyways and know for certain i want to stay in FS, so might as well be legal from the start.

You have to look what wheel options are available for non-PP base - quick look shows you can get 19" 8.5" wide ones as a stand alone option, therefore you can use that width with +/- 1" diameter difference.

When buying wheels, think ahead of a tire you're going to use. 18" restricts you to a tires that will likely affect your gearing significantly due to smaller overall diameter.

Aren't the 20x9s a stand alone option? That would allow you to run 19x9s with the +/- 1" diameter allowance.

Don't show up as an option for Base (non-Premium) 2017 - so may be Premium only and I don't remember if they were available for earlier years on a Base.

Edit : For 2017, 20" seem to be available for GT Premium only.

Yes, your right. Looking at the 2015 Brochure, the 20x9s were only availible on the Premium trim.

It that kind of nit picky junk that always sends me out of Stock/Street to ST.
