Hey I am adding a Paxton to my 17 GT real soon and I am looking at the Race Star Recluse 17x10.5 wheels for the rear because of the price right now. Any recommendations for a solid wheel and tire setup for a street car would very much be appreciated.

Been searching this forum and many facebook groups for different setups but was just hoping for some up to date info, thanks.

Just went through the same thing, I went with Forgestar f14 17x10 got them for $300 each off ebay and running M/T 305/45r17 ET street R it works well. If you need more of a rain friendly tire the 305/45r17 Nitto 555r2 works pretty good also. Not as sticky m/t but much much better than street tire.

Thank you so much. Happen to have any pictures of your fitment with those specs?

What power level are you looking for?

I'm hoping to be around 700 wheel
NT555RII will be a good street/strip tire at that power level. Can still be driven in the rain. Wheel spin won't be too bad. Will chirp a few gears.

This would probably not be ideal for a power adder car but they work well on an NA setup. I don't know where you're located but I would keep an eye out for a lightly used setup, I scored these for $675 and the tires had less than 5 passes and about 50 street miles on them. I see full sets around me for sale for $1200-1500 depending on the brand of wheels.
