So I’ve been on the flex fuel tune running e85 a few times, and last time, I ran the car till it was empty, did relearn and the alc was still at 30% (not low enough for dedicated 93 octane tune). Today I ran the car till empty and filled the car up half way, did the relearn, and it only dropped to 25%... thought it would be much lower by now?

Have you tried a KAM reset yet as well?

No, and I’m not sure what that is, can you please explain?
Sure KAM is keep alive memory. It stores learned things such as fuel trims. What handheld are you using? On the BDX for example it's under the special functions menu. If not available through handheld if I recall disconnecting negative battery terminal for at least 30 min should effectively have a similar result but definitely recommend through handheld first.

Ok cool I'm sure it has the option also just not sure in what menu. If not the battery disconnect is always an option.

I had similar issues, but the alcohol percentage seemed to correct itself on it’s own. I saw the alcohol % lock onto 17%, and then rapidly shot down to 9.8%. It was the weirdest thing.

Give the KAM reset a shot, and report back.

Fortunately, I put more 93 in and it’s gotten down to 22%! Does anyone know what percent I need to go down to to switch back to 93 octane tune?

Get the alcohol percentage as low as possible before switching over to the 93 only tune. Run this tank down as low as possible, refill with pump gas, allow the computer to adjust to the alcohol content properly (i.e. not driving hard during the learning process; just drive normally), and then see where you’re at.
