Hello all I just purchased my first mustang 2018 gt premium w performance package. I am shipping it to Roush performance for a phase 1 supercharged and active exhaust system. From what I understand this will give me 680 to the ground. My buddies have hellcats and trackhawks and I want to be able to hang with them. Not knowing much I would like to know the best steps in increasing horsepower safely. Interested in the e85 tune as well. I need to know the must haves for my boost. I know strapping a supercharger on right away is not always the best..but could not pass up the deal I got. Please help

Congrats on the new 'Stang and for going FI right off the bat! I would recommend some suspension mods to help put that power to the ground. Remaining brand-agnostic but basically at a minimum IMO you should invest in:

Springs/Struts to give you a better stance and help control power.
IRS help for the rear. The rear end on these cars as they come from the factory is pretty much loosey-goosey. Even just a subframe alignment kit and IRS bushing supports will make a difference. In conjunction with the springs/shocks it will be a very noticeable diff.
Catback exhaust: I'm not smart on the active exhaust, but I know the stock exhaust on the 15-17's is very restrictive (and heavy). You're significantly increasing the power you're making and the "exhale cycle" of the engine breathing is just as important as the 'inhale."

I wouldn't call the stock exhaust very restrictive. Heavy, yes, but that is mainly the suitcase resonator. It is pretty well documented that switching to an aftermarket catback doesn't gain much performance at all, aside from the weight reduction.
