It can easily be daily driven. I don't daily mine but I did for a week and it was perfect.

It's all in the install and choosing quality supporting parts.

You'll be fine. I daily mine with no problems at all. I'm typically on the road at least 4 days a week with lots of running around on the weekends. I drove it regularly last summer, even during the Dream Cruise (the largest North American traffic jam) and still no issues.

Edit: Upgrade the clutch if you're rowing gears.

How crazy did you get with your tune? Does it get gallons to the mile or is it in the ballpark of stock fuel efficiency?

I ask because I daily drive mine. I have modified my car and get good mileage when I don't stand on the pedal. Don't want to suck down fuel to drive the exact same speed as I do now NA. :)

Id say being half way thru probably with my install, The biggest thing is installing everything correctly, making sure the pan fittings are tapped correctly, feed lines and drains are tight etc... The kit includes everything to protect factory wiring and sensors etc... A new fan shroud is included all of which is high quality.

Great question and my driving is a fairly good mix. It gets at least a daily romping in WOT, even if not for long, simply on the premise of "smiles per gallon". As far as fuel efficiency goes, it seemed to help out enough to balance out the times you get on it. So I've stayed fairly close to stock fuel efficiency with regular enjoyment. I mean, even going to the grocery gets at least some part throttle boost. You have. The only it never sees action is if the dog is cruising with me.

Some type of electronic boost controller (I run the eBoost) will be your best friend. It takes literally seconds to go from manageably aggressive to animal. It's so simple.

Also, as far as vendors go Beefcake and Hellion have never once left me hanging if I have had any questions. Both have been absolutely top notch and Hellion, if I've ever called (which I probably have too many times) have always been nothing short of upfront and helpful. I decided to do the install myself with my brother so needless to say, I felt a little overwhelmed at times (I'm not the mechanically inclined one in the family but I didn't know we had installers in the area). Easy to talk to and more than willing to get me on track quickly.

Is a turbo kit available with cast manifolds? How many miles do you drive in a year? Say 20k miles? I just dont think tubular manifolds will hold up with the extreme heat cycles day after day for years. Do you have a garage? Do you think you can go 4-5 winter months without opening the hood on a daily TT car? IMO a blower of any kind would be better suited for daily duties.

I will say, I have to be a little more aware of surroundings and things in the road. I'm not lower but the piping does come down below the frame. Hellion advises that any good long tube header will sit lower but it's still a little unnerving. I've definitely scraped a time or two.

Hellion uses factory manifolds.

I love my hellion kit, but that is not true about the headers. LT Headers sit above any part of the frame rail. Their kit is definitely below the frame rail.

Do they supply modified OEM manifolds or does their kit bolt onto your existing units?
Hello.

We send a factory 2011 GT header in our kit, and we reuse the factory 2015-18 passenger side manifold.

We give a lifetime warranty on all piping, and a 1 year on the Precision turbos.

Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Team Hellion
