Hello. Sorry for the late response. So how long have you run the low mount turbos?
What do you think is better from a longevity/maintenance perspective ? The low mount in the sleeper kit, or the front mount of the normal kit ?
Any possibility of having a secondary oil system/ oil cooler just for the turbos ?
1. To keep them from cooking engine oil
2. If you lose a turbo you don’t have to worry about contaminating the entire engine with turbo bearing bits.
3. To run a completely different oil for the turbos that maybe the engine isn’t setup for? Higher temp oil with way more zinc ?
4. To ensure the oil drawn off the engine doesn’t reduce oil pressure to a point of concern should something go wrong with the turbos or their oil restriction orifaces ?
Also my car will be a gt350 running e85. How much boost would be safe on a stock bottom end?
We have been making low mount " hidden" kits since 2007 on the GT500. We have had amazing results due to our design and testing over the years. Both systems will have the same longevity, it just depends on placement preference. We have not seen any need to add a secondary oil system as using the factory system lets us cool the oil and creates no issues. Some may desire to do a secondary system, but in the end we have had such great results as is, we do not see a need.
Hope this helps!
