Actually its opposite . The twin screws give better than stock drivability plus whipple is 50 state CARB legal

What I meant by that is that a twin screw will put the power down from a red light and would be harder to drive than a Centri which doesn't put instant power down, is that wrong?

Example...a gal and I take her dad's SC corvette to the lake. I can see it under the hood, but with her driving I can't really tell anything. We take a leisurely spin up to the lake. No drama.

But, I get to drive home. And that's where it became fun. From a roll it was very apparent by my smile that it's the most powerful car I've ever driven on a street. Now, you can't floor it from a stop sign and expect traction, but from a roll there is some serious 'put ya back in your seat'. And the whine is addictive.

So basically, what I'm sayin is, it should be able to be driven however you want to drive it.

I understand that, what I'm wondering because I've never had a SC is the KB or Whipple say that power is instant, so if I pull away from a light like I normally would, am I going to have spin the tires power, or would I have to put my foot into it to get it?? Maybe I'm over reading the difference between a Centri and a TS....

The Whipple warranty and Roush warranty are no different than any other 3rd party warranty. All dealers can accept them

And NONE of them retain a "bumper to bumper" warranty. Period. Unless you purchased a stage 3 Roush brand new, you no longer have a bumper to bumper power-train warranty. You have a supplemental warranty from Roush. Assuming you did purchase said warranty. It is a solid warranty, but it is not a bumper to bumper equivalent warranty. You will also lose that Roush warranty as soon as you bump up to phase 2.

By the looks off the dyno sheets lately Im seeing the Centr having gobs off tq down low. Basically its going to boil down to personal preference .. You cant go wrong with either setup

I think the association of lower power is in reference to maintaining a bumper to bumper warranty.. I'm pretty sure every Ford dealership across the country will honor a warranty repair in the case of a mechanical breakdown if car is Roush phase1 calibrated. I doubt they would honor a warranty repair with a Whipple and outside tune... But if we are speaking about power on an outside tuned Roush TVS lets talk about Justin Pawlak car that just made almost 1000 hp with a Roush blower kit and a custom tuning!

I don't know how in the world Roush customers keeping thinking that. Look at all the post on here, why does Roush offer the $995 powertrain warranty if you have a warranty already?

To be clear, there is zero powertrain warranty from Ford Motor Company for your modified Mustang. A dealer may hope that there is no issue, if there is they try to sneak it past the warranty program and get it warrantied but that does not mean it's bumper to bumper warranty.

As for the motor making nearly 1000hp, that was a modified motor, high compression and 17psi of boost. Do you know what we make at the same level? about 200hp more and about 100deg cooler IAT2.

Just because you think something is warrantied doesn't mean it is, please show everyone the paperwork that in fact states that you have a warranty for a package that did not prove 100k cat life testing or any other test Ford themselves would have to do to warranty something like that.

3yrs 36k miles full coverage? Or does your warranty only cover your parts? All I know is my phase1 setup is still covering my full power train warranty, and any Ford dealership will honor that and repair any item that would be covered under a standard new car warranty. No fussing... Roush/Ford are a team, and the phase 1 kit is marketed by both.. 2015's the first year they both put their names on the kit.. Other companies kits are rad and powerful. I just felt comfortable knowing my dealership still has me covered bumper to bumper with the Roush upgrade.. And they installed and tuned it right at a reputable ford dealership. Leaving me worry free.

It's the same type as Roush offers, its a supplemental. The only difference is the level of coverage, Roush at $995 offers more damage replacement then we offer for $495. A Ford dealer is not billing Ford Motor Company for a replacement, they bill the insurance company.

Whipple/Roush is still a team, have been for 10 years, we only had one powertrain warranty in that time for a 100hp increase on the 4.6L 3V and it was 1 year, 12,000 miles and Ford Racing covered it since Ford Motor Company still voided the warranty. Even for that, there was extensive durability testing.

I'll tell you what, call any OTHER dealer in your area and ask them about your engine warranty with your supercharger and see what they say! :frusty: If you bought something due to a warranty that is in fact not actually true, I hope you got the sales manager or someone at the dealer put that in writing for you because if you have an issue, you will have a bad day.

Yes but he "thinks" he still has a Ford Motor Company warranty on the powertrain. I don't think he even purchased the Roush powertrain warranty.

Doesn't the roush warranty for phase 2 only cover the supplied parts, not powertrain? I saw that he was phase 2.

I use the one warranty program that will payout everytime...my checking account. I never buy warranties, there is always fine print with them.

If you purchase the warranty, you do have b-2-b coverage. The Roush warranties cover their components + the power train. The rest of the car is covered by the Ford warranty. If you get it installed by a Roush/Ford dealer, there should be no warranty hassles. In fact, I've seen them go out of their way to resolve issues @ the dealer that did mine (Elder in Tampa).

Phase 2 does void the Roush warranty, which I suspect will keep a lot of ppl from upgrading (as seen in the announcement thread).

Just my $.02, but the Phase 1 puts down plenty of power, way more than most will ever use or need. If you are planning to drag your car & go for the best possible times, then I can see going a different route. For a great many (like myself) that want a fast, reliable, fun car the Roush package is a solid choice.
