Just drove my buddy's hellcat.. I was completely amazed that the power was so usable! First was bad, but second gear-on up-you could hammer it, and she just pulled!

I am running long tubes, no cats, Corsa sport, JLT intake, Lund NGauge, and E85 with FRPP 47 lb injectors. I got rid of the P-zeros a while ago, and am riding on S-04 pole position tires.

His tires were stock, but my car roasted the tires at the top of first, through second.

If I were sitting around 650 at the wheels, could I really use the power? How many of you guys who have power like that have driven a hellcat, and can compare for me?

Or you could just save me a bunch of money and tell me it's useless...

The power that my car makes is very usable with drag radials. I run 305 MT ETs. I cam spin them through second gear if I want too. A hellcat tried me one day, it wasn't a challenge at all.

I'm at 701 whp with a procharger, and I feel like the power is more than usable with good tires. Also hellcats don't stand a chance

700 from a centri is controllable because centris generally peak late. I have a centri on my C7 with a little over 900 rwhp and it feels almost boring. I had a nitrous 408ci 2001 Z06 with 750rwhp and it was almost scary. Big power at 4000 RPM is way more awesome than at 7000.

of course, you can control wheelspin a lot better with a centri style delivery.

The Whipple will be VERY usable with the "boost by gear" feature. Turn the boost down in 1st & 2nd, and then let'er rip from third on up :)

tires always help

most of our paxton packages put you right there, and the power is very useable

feel free to hit me up with any questions you may have

You must not have seen his dyno graph. ;)

I doubt its anything close to boring. ;)

With its roots blower TQ and power curve.

I have played with an auto 8 speed Hellcat, she ran strong but I walked away with no problem. I have a VMP TVS Stg3 kit on 93 pump, drives like stock around town until I hit the GO pedal. You'll be fine with any blower as long as you stay out of the boost in 1st gear, and preferably a set of MT's.

Slaying stock tune hellcats with my off the showroom Roushcharged GT. With phase 1 calibration under full warranty. I drove all last season on street tires. Like stated above, if you stay off the throttle it daily's just fine! But a set of good radials would be the smartest choice to prevent unwanted wheel spin.

learn to use your right foot and 1000+rwhp is usable.

When you race, you don't have to plant the loud peddle on the floor in every gear....

I bought my daily driven S550 back in July, knowing that im gonna put some kind of blower on it, and after 500 miles and 2 weeks of long research i decided to go with Roush's Phase 1 Supercharger Kit. I chose Roush because of their reputation, and also because of their partnership with Ford. I still am under full warranty (36k/3years) pushing 610 to the wheels on stock Roush tune that came with the kit (I noticed on other brands the tunes were not included, only parts) I considered Whipple because they do make insane power with them! But ive heard of a lot of problems that two of my good friends with Whipple supercharger have had, like broken gears twice, drive shaft as well and they're not even Drag racing. A blown bottom end in my one friends s550.. im over 9k and daily driving playing a lot and haven't had a single problem with my car! So my answer to your question is yes it makes a great daily! Especially with Roush's safe and effective tuning.

There are tons of people that don't think a stock GT has "usable" power on the street. They're to be ignored. I chose a centri blower specifically for it's street-a-bility at high hp levels. I could DD this car with no problems.

Using a little maturity w/your right foot, all the kits (Roush/TVS, Whipple, Kenne Bell, ProCharger, Hellion) are very usable, and VERY RELIABLE. You don't see many, if any posts of people complaining about blown bottom ends, and those that are breaking half shafts are more than likely driving a manual with the OEM toothpicks that Ford tried to pass as half shafts.

Also, everyone of those kits will allow you to smoke a Hell Kitten. In fact, don't even bother racing Hell Kittens anymore... that's beneath you.

You want a smooth entry into power that screams like a banshee up high, get a centri? I'm sure Beef will holla at you about a Procharger and Lund tune. If you want an immediate (but ludicrous) punch in the teeth? Get a Whipple, TVS, or Kenne Belle, and get 'em tuned.

TL;DR

They are all viable/usable. They will all help you spank people at the strip. They are all safe with good tunes.
