Headlight depth issue

Greetings,

I recently bought my Mustang GT 2015. Long story short I had to replace both headlights of my car bc they were cracked. I bought a new set of lights from Ebay which did not come with their own bulbs, so I just plugged the old set of bulbs.

The problem is that now I am not getting any depth/visibility (6ftish) as I use to get with the old set of lights. My mechanic already tried messing with the adjustment screws but nothing changed. At this point I am wondering if it is a defect on the headlamps I bought or to swap the bulb - even though it would not make sense because on the old set they showed clear depth/visibility.

So at this point is:
1. Either I have a shitty mechanic that doesn't know how to play with adjustment screws
2. Change lightbulbs to a new set of D3S
3. Get a partial refund for headset of lamps? (I will attach pic below from ebay seller)
4. Mess again with adjustment screws (Idk if you can adjust the horizontal view I will attach a pic below of what I found but from what I know it only comes in EU cars)

Are these genuine headlights or knock offs?

Seconding what WILDB says. If the projectors aren't designed for xenon bulbs, they will never look right. If you paid less than $600-700 for the set (used), you probably have Chinese knockoffs.
