Hi guys!

Having a bit of a problem here.
My headlights are pointed up way too high, blinding everyone that passes me.

When I tried to look for the little white plastic adjustment screw after checking the owner's manual, I couldn't find it. There's no screw whatsoever. Am I missing something??

My export (Australia) GT PP has headlight adjustment in the cabin.

Middle of the light switch is a small button you press and out pops the turn adjustment.

How do you adjust the left separately from the right?

What if the left was low but the right was spot on?

Are you saying you have a digital adjustment and can select each headlamp separately?

Could I ask you to take a photo!! Sounds cool.

On US Spec cars, we do not have this. At the outer edge of the light housing is the white-ish plastic hex adjuster. It is located not on through the flattened oval hole but the other oval hole closer to the side of the car. You need to reach it going in at a 45 degree angle.

It is possible Europe spec-ed cars have a different adjustment than US. From your photo, that could be a digital motor cover. where US cars have the old school manual adjustment.

Looks like my headlight housing has been modified in some way to fit an auto leveling system. No way to adjust it, no screws, nothing.

I’ll stop by a dealer next week and see if they have a way to adjust it. No idea how though.

Pretty sure the EU models have auto leveling implemented which is why you see that motor mechanism on the back.

I know in the past, with my German cars I had to put the headlights into some sort of maintenance mode to adjust them manually. No idea about Ford though.

Most auto leveling systems aim all the way up or down when they have a malfunction, a code is likely stored somewhere so the dealer should be able to sort it.

well the thing is though mine are american 35w headlights, not the 25w euro ones.

No, the in-cabin adjusting knob makes both lights go up and down together - no individual adjustment.

Surely the US cars have this. Ours (Australia) all have auto on / off lights and wipers, is that part of a different option for you?

Nope. I have the 401A premium everything in my PP2. The only option I did not get is Recaro seats. I actually prefer the heated and cooled just fine since it is black interior and my daily driver.

No. We do have auto on and a dial to select with dimmer buttons to one side and the fog/driving light button on the other. No pop out directional lever. The white plastic is how you manually adjust the headlights. Personally, I have only adjusted all my cars once for each of them. There is no point to having the adjustment inside or maybe that is just what I am use to. Just one more thing to break.

US DOT regulations for headlights are pretty archaic, so they have to make a special version for the US and then the World market Mustang gets better headlights. That's how it works for every single car since the DOT takes 200 years to catch up to newer technology. I'm pretty sure electronic adjustment that the end user can control isn't legal here.

I found this for Austrailia owner's manual for themustang
https://www.fordservicecontent.com/...ang-Owners-Manual-version-2_om_EN_02_2019.pdf

ON page 58 it says they are self leveling headlights.

You also have power folding mirrors!! We do not. They are manual. Then again, in Europe, you need them. My cousin lives in Saviano, outside Naples, Italy and he was driving my another cousin around and asked him to quickly reach out and grab the mirror and pull it in. He did just as they went down a narrow street where they would have hit. Real narrow roads.
