If you're driving on the street - you're not going to notice any difference in HP gains or losses, therefore catted vs. non-catted is a totally moot point. You'll notice the difference in sound and as others have said, if you're in a State that requires emissions testing it's going to be a hassle not only for the sniffer but OBD readiness scans.

If the car is used for any type of track events where usage is 85% or greater, the car isn't used on the street, and emissions isn't a problem then you probably fall into this category of ditching the cats. Since the car is used mainly for track use, higher HP application, turbo or Supercharged and has a matched "tune", folks in this category will benefit more from a catless exhaust.

---

As mentioned by others, due to the EPA crack down with online vendors and many shops getting nailed, no one wants to risk the huge fines, the possibility of being temporarily or permanently shut down - let alone the very real possibility of actually losing their lively hood for those who depend on their business for income.

So the last thing I need to be fbo on my 19 gt is headers (plan on getting tuned by Lund) but I have read that the CEL will come on with catless headers, but also there are O2 sensors that will help with that now, can anyone confirm that?

Also what is the difference between catless and cattend? Is it big enough for me to care if I just go catted? Because I haven’t been able to find many catless in stock on multiple sites
i have several brands of headers in stock.

we can also dial you in with a juggernaut or ortiz tune.

as far as cel. some o2 defoulers will take care of that.

Feel free to DM me or call me up with any questions. Terry “Beefcake” Reeves - 855-827-7223 - www.beefcakeracing.com #beefcakeracing #teambeefcake

Several. Give Terry a call @beefcake
@beefcake can set you up with the headers and tune.

On any emissions equipment-equipped car installing headers catless or catted will throw a CEL for emissions-related codes. We will tune the car but we cannot tune for the headers or turn off any codes related to the cats the reason being is that most all cats out there do not have as high a cell count as the OEM cats so they will not pass emissions.

pretty much all tuners including us will not disable anything emissions related and anyone who does it play a dangerous game of chicken!

Thank you for the kind words! I am a mustang junkie so I love being on here and helping the members of this forum out
So to make sure I am getting this correct. If I install headers Catted or Non Catted, I will have a instrument
cluster Engine light glaring at me all of the time?

No, defoulers typically work. 3" exhaust, no cats, headers, all emissions readiness codes are green. Noting is turned off in my tune. I have had several tune iterations, several exhaust changes, changes to the induction system as well; never had a problem with them going green. Doesn't always solve the issue, supposedly. Maybe I am just extremely lucky (based on the rest of my life i doubt this is just luck). In my very limited experience I have not seem them not work, but the internet is full of stories. My experience is very limited.

Yes. I’ve had good luck with spark plug non-foulers in the past to move the sensor out of the direct exhaust flow, and no CEL. It’s usually hit or miss though.

The light is no inconvenience. It doesn’t glare. It doesn’t intimidate. It doesn’t harass. It just sits there, tiny and barely illumined, as if to say, “Just enjoy your v8-equipped car and stop worrying about the little things.”

I have a pair of the angled adapters, i just havent installed them yet.

My ocd is triggered with the cel lol at the same token, Ive driven the car with the light on for quite a while.
