Even if I go catted?

Pretty sure. It's not so much the headers as it is what catback/mufflers you pair them with.

If drone is similar, I'm alright with that. Hence why I'm wanting a catted setup. IF it's going to be a large increase, ill just go catless anyway and change up the rest later on down the road. I'd rather not have to do that tho lol.

video isn't the best quality, it was the first startup after the install. It gets really distorted as it gets louder. the videos also doesn't capture the low end sounds. but better than nothing. Take it with a grain of salt, video does not do it justice. sounds 225.5% better in person.

Plus, I'd imagine that set up is a lot louder under load...

Those SW SPs are looking attractive. I want Kooks but the money seems absolutely retarded.

I bought a mustang hoping that the aftermarket would be cheap; starting with my Corsa Xtreme, it hasn't been a cheap start lol.

Beef, I'm not far from you. What's your pricing if I make the trip up to get something thrown on in house? Pm some prices if you can, please.

I had asked Livernois at one point about this and was told it was a 1-3 hp difference. Jay posted it's more like a 10. For 1-3 I don't think it would matter but 10... ehhh that's worth contemplating.

I gained 6whp/0tq after tuning when I switched from catted ARH/Magnaflow catback to catless on my 2012 Boss. There was a definitive difference in the smell, especially if you have a garage, and the catless had more drone.

Did you happen to do this comparison on the same day and same dyno?

And when you say 'after tuning', were you tuned when you had the catted ones on and just changed the tuning for catless? Or were you not tuned at all for the catted ones?

The Catted version you will usually net about 10hp less than the uncatted version. Catted is fine when staying N/A, the power difference will be negligible but the sound will be different.
Have you seen these differences in a same day, same dyno scenario?

I did same day same dyno with the tuner doing the dnyo session and saw 3-5hp increase on three runs with the cats removed. I kept 'em in.

Good to know. Did you notice a difference in smell?

If go with headers, l think I'll splurge for the ~$250cdn to get the cats.

Yes, my Boss was dyno tuned before the off-road xpipe, trapped 123mph with just exhaust/intake/wheels/tires. We then put her on the dyno, made another baseline with the catted setup, then installed the off-road xpipe, then retuned on the same dyno, gained 6whp and 0tq. The smell was noticeable, my wife complained about the way our garage smelled and my clothes would even smell when I came back into my house. The drone sucked for highway cruising but I did like the sound at WOT.

Yeah I definitely smelled a difference. I stopped by the shop while they still had the straight pipe in place, to me it wasn't good. When I first start my car the smell is pretty obnoxious with cats in until they heat up - I couldn't live with that all the time.

We didn't so I know there is definitely room for error. ARH cats are pretty damn awesome as well so the difference is going to be minimal. The bigger difference in HP is when you go F/I.
