I ran a full Bassani exhaust (LT Headers, off-road x-pipe and cat back) on my 2013 Mustang GT and the only time I smelled fumes was when I played with the ghost cam tune from Bama. I even ordered a set of high flow cats with the setup, but never used them because there was no need to.

Not sure if anyone is this active in this forum but I just had a question. I got longtube Catted headers. I want to remove my cats for sound. But what difference is there from buying catless headers or buying catted headers and just removing the cats??
Been wanting to remove mine and send my tuner a log so back pressure won’t be so bad but idk I’m new to this

Depends on the design of the system. You might have to buy a new catless connecting pipe.

Staying NA? Keep it catted, or switch out the OEM cats for some aftermarket high-flows (BBK?).
As much as I like the extra shout from the exhaust, the smell at stand still made it not worth it.

Sent a log over to my tuner and said the car responded really well to it. But I do feel like it pulled so much harder with the cats on then with them off.

Newer fuel injected cars, working correctly and with a proper tune shouldn't have an exhaust smell.
Disagree - catless LSX454 I had stunk horribly, until I switched to E85, which stunk, but not so bad. And mine clearly was working correctly and tuned by one of the best in the biz.

I just ordered a set of catless headers, this car is so well insulated I'm hoping the smell is not an issue. If it is, oh well, I kinda like it.
One thing you won't smell is CO, which is completely scentless and incredibly poisonous.

I never notice a smell with going catless, even when I’ve had dumps before the axle.

Yea its just not worth it. I guess people get greedy just to have the exhaust sound little more raw.

I prefer catted these days. I had catless on my 2013 GT, and they didn’t smell at all.
