Quality shifter. You won’t be disappointed with its performance.
I hope not. It was one of the first things I wanted to do. Then there were delays...

And so it begins....

I submitted an online request about the car, and someone called me. I was able to confirm that I do qualify for all the rebates listed on the website, however, he did caution me that there is a $899 add-on for dealership-installed 'accessories'. Window tint, wheel locks, door edge guard film, and door handle cup film. That's quite a markup on a bunch of stick-on and screw-on stuff. Not loving the 'shove crap down your throat' way of doing business.

We'll see.....
Hmm. $900 for window tint? You're right - that's a lot of markup. If they have a stack of "processing costs", that could make it worse.

What that $899 accessory add on screams is: “Nobody move, nobody gets hurt! Give me that $899 now!” As one can see, masks similar to what is shown below are not just used for skiing anymore. SMDH

Here's what the guy sent me. I thanked him for his time and said goodbye. I don't know if he was expecting me to counter on this, but he's so far off it's not worth my time.

That’s too bad OP. Keep looking, somebody out there has to have the car that you want, at the price that you want.

I feel your pain. Vroom offered me what I paid for my '19 GT Base 6 speed back in 9/19. So I thought - the only way I'd get rid of it, is if I could find a new '20 PP1 6 speed with digital cluster and Recaro seats. What are the odds of finding one of those. I shouldn't have looked. A lot about an hour away has a Gray and a Red with those exact options. Only thing I don't like - they both have spoiler delete. But since I added a match painted PP1 spoiler to my '19 - I could install the original spoiler and have mine painted for the new car. The only two things holding me back right now - we're in the middle of a refi on the house and I would HAVE to remove my MGW shifter and install the stock and then install the MGW in the new car. First world problems.
Are they offering decent discounts on the 2020s?

Having trouble finding a 2020 manual in a color I like. Thinking about going with this. 2017 3.7, 33,000 miles. Always loved lightening blue.

Don’t settle just to settle, then you’ll be like “should’ve waited”... and then be tempted to trade it in, only to submerse yourself in an upside down loan and loss on the trade...

If you have a family member or friend ask him to get a quote for you with a trade and see how f.ed that dealer is. I know that every time I would trade a car I would always get shafted so I sold my accord a few weeks before I got the Mustang but the buyer let me drive it for $75 a week for 3 weeks

I'm actually quite fond of the 3.7, and of Lightening blue. I thought the grass would be greener on the 2.3 / 10R80 side of the fence when I traded it, and always regretted that move. I suspect I'd like the 3.7 even more with a manual. We'll see what happens. I can't find any more dark red manual 2020s.

It better be pretty cheap being a V6.

The way used car prices are I would rather buy a new car than a used car. Why does it have to be a 2020 EB in red? Why not a 2021? I don’t know your financial situation but if I was in your shoes I would order a 2021 with the features you want. Here is one I built on Ford’s website for reference.

I'd rather buy new, but 2021s are not on the menu until Ford starts rebating them. There's no reason to leave $5K+ in discounts and rebates on the table by ignoring the 2020s. I'm just finding it challenging to find a red one.

My first Mustang was one of those in Lightning Blue too, stick. It had horrendous rev-hang but Torrie@Unleashed Tuning fixed that up pronto and the engine actually pulled VERY nicely after the update. I'm tempted (slightly) to source one again but only if I can get it for a song since I'm going to be dumping $2000 in chassis and suspension and brake upgrades into it.

If I sell it outright, I would have to pay tax on the full purchase price of the Mustang. That math screws you in Texas.
I did some napkin math and the tax difference between netting out the cars vs having to pay full freight on a new one is only $1000. Seems to me you can make that up and MUCH more by splitting the transactions.

If you don't want to try talking the dealership into pricing the car at 22k per his ad, and giving you no less than 16k for your trade (and the likes of Vroom/Carvana/CarMax will give you that 16k or better).
