i checked my order summary. I have a priority code of 19. Lol.

That's the default. If you ask your dealer to increase it they probably would be willing to.

I'm also an 01, presumably because of waiting so long. 01 confirmed by Ford Performance.

Call your dealer and tell them you wanted it moved to 10. 19 is for dealer stock.

Is this really a thing to do? Mine is listed as 19. It's kind of a small dealership and I don't want to irritate them if it's a nit pick thing. They told me it would be about 4 months, so October-ish.

Approach them in a friendly manner asking them if they could change your order to a 10.

My last build date was July 12th, obviously another downtime came...

As expected, my build date shifted to July 26th week. I guess it's positive it's getting closer and closer

Wonder if the handling package Cup 2's might be the cause of the delay on my order. Just checked Tire Rack, the 315 rears are showing as not being available till mid August. A little annoying since I was considering replacing them immediately anyway with something I can run year round. The PS4S is available in HP sizes, emailed the sales manager and asked if he'd see if Ford would consider putting the PS4S on my car instead of the Cup 2's. I'm sure it will be a no but that would solve 2 problems at once.

First hurdle cleared! Sales manager has agreed to ask the regional scheduling rep if I can have PS4S's instead of Cup 2's.

I think they are just trying to placate you.
Are you aware of any other Ford product that uses PS4's in the HP sizes?
Can you imagine them trying to get what is a highly standardized automated production process to satisfy your request?

I just replaced my cup 2s with the 4s. I was going to anyway but sped up a bit as I picked up a screw in one of the cup 2. I have road hazard but dealer advising the cup 2 not available and on back order. So there may be an issue there as you say

Being a manufacturing engineer, I agree it's not a logical request. But these are unique circumstances and all they can say is no.

My point is the dealer isn't going to even ask. I'm sure they have had requests from other customers for other substitutions on other Ford products and the answer is no. I assure you the wait for your car is worth it.

Second hurdle cleared. Sales manager just called to say the regional rep says he doesn’t think there’s much of a chance they’ll do it but he’ll pass the request on to Ford. Maybe they’re BSing me but I don’t see why they’d make up a story… takes no effort to cut, paste and send. Hurdle 3 will be the tallest one, Ford’s the one that actually has to DO something.

I'm rooting for you but ......... skeptical because the dealer might do anything to have you not cancel the order.
