Am I right in thinking the tunes that come with the US supercharger kits won't work on UK cars?
they'll work just fine just need a US flash device

still not understanding how people find this concept complex.

want to use a yank tune either canned or custom use a yank device. want to use a uk tune get a uk device (dream science)
think of it as an old school dvd player its region locked our engines will take anything but the tunes are either region 1 or region 2 and so you need a region 1 or region 2 player :)

Thanks for that!!

What I was referring to was something I think I read in another post on here was that the US tune on the US flash tool that comes with, say, a Paxton kit won't upload into a UK ECU?

Whipple and roush have been widely fitted here so i reckon the tune they send must load up with the device in the kit.

The Whipple kit ships with a CAN tool that you plug into the OBD and connect to your laptop. Whipple supply you a code which you enter into their Flare software. It then downloads the tune from their database then applies it to the car. You can use the Flare software for diagnostics and a few adjustable parameters too.

According to CJ pony parts you need to send your ecu off to Roush for it to be tuned? I guess we send ours to Mountune?

Thanks for this Dave. You have proved me wrong with my thoughts that the US tunes don't work with UK ECU's.

Now you need to approach Harrop to make you a UK dealer!!
