Had enough of aftermarket CAI & HIGH IAT's. So here's my fix.

Yeah, it’s weird. I turned off my Rev match and that appears to have made it a little less annoying.
Maybe Lund fudged your rev match a bit ? Just a guess.

That looks similar to Velossatech’s scoop. I just took the scoop off of my GT350 heat shield and made a ram air scoop.

I did the foam pipe insulation around my gt350 airbox over the weekend. The added sealing against the bottom of the hood definitely kept temps down sitting and moving through slow traffic.

You will definitely see improvement by keeping radiator wash and engine bay heat from entering the filter. Closing the gaps. Insulating the piping itself is not going to do much, if anything. The trick is to draw colder air in without impeding the high flow that the PMAS provides. As someone mentioned earlier, they are coming out with a retrofit to move the filter to the fender well by extending the intake tube. It should be a “best of both worlds” solution IMO. I’m def down for one when they start selling it.

Me too. But, the access hole where the filter is suppose to go is awfully small. And on my17 i have 2 grounds and a horn occupying the same space.

Does anyone have any updated info on release date from PMAS? I think all that was said thus far was that it would be released sometime this summer.

If it’s that tight, I’m guessing that one might have to remove the fender liner to gain access for filter maintenance, etc.

Y’all see the new PMAS closed box air intake in development? Apparently all current ones caulk be able to be retrofitted to it. So I’ll definitely be doing that when it comes out. (Supposedly this summer)

Yeah this thread had back and forth discussions about it. Late summer is the due date. Should be worth the wait.
