Folks, ready to get an H pipe . I was leaning on Steeda. But I also see some pipe diameter differences. Steeda is 2 1/2. Is a bigger diameter better?

2 1/2 is plenty. The pipes from the cats are only 2 1/4

I started off with a Steeda H pipe before going full catback. You'll be happy with theirs.

Also with Steeda and very happy. I got heavier duty clamps to prevent sagging that some people complain about and haven’t had any issues or need to re-adjust.

I assume when I bring the car to get installed at a muffler shop they would have the HD clamps? Did you use those to replace the Steeda ones? Or were they in addition to them?

The pic makes them look sturdy, worth a try.

I currently have the Steeda H-pipe and their mufflers. Very good sound.

Still contemplating a full Borla or Kooks catback. Steeda through a comment on one of their YouTube videos that they are coming out with a full catback. Not sure if that's true, but if it is, I'm wondering if they will offer some sort of connector pipe for between the H-pipe and mufflers and if that will change the sound tone and volume any.

They actually look like the Squirelly clamps too.
These were the same ones I used. Much thicker metal on the band and they worked great.

(referring to the Hooker ones from Speedway motors)

For a few hundred more you can get a full 3" mbrp catback. I love mine. The perfect deep rumble at idle. Loud enough on acceleration and no drone at hwy speeds. Super easy install took less than an hour and no cutting necessary.

Does anyone who installed the H pipe get that "raspy sound up top with the stock mufflers? A you tuber 5.0 PRIM.0 installed just the steeda H pipe and people on there said it sounded raspy. He said afetr he changed over to Flowmaster Outlaws it went away.

If thats the case I'm not adding another muffler. Maybe not the H pipe too?

Deleting the resonator with H or X and keeping stock mufflers can sound a bit tinny.

Avoid the Flowmasters unless you don't mind the drone that comes with them.
