Besides material used in construction, is there a significant difference between h-pipes like MRT and Lethal? Is there another I should be considering? Thank you!

MRT H-pipes bind by overlapping (it fits one piece of tubing over the other).

I believe the H-pipe from Lethal has a sleeve that bridges the connection between the two faces of the pie, instad of one end of the pipe fitting into the other, like the MRT.

I have the MRT H-pipe, and absolutely 0 issues.

I have a Heartthrob H Pipe, no issues. It gives a nice, deep, tone.

MRT and Lethal are the more expensive options. Heartthrob is cheap but it's aluminized steel, not stainless. There aren't too many options for H pipes. Either expensive, or not stainless. Same with X pipes. At least X pipe there is a cheap stainless version, the SR performance, which is American Muscle's brand. I wish there was an H pipe like that also. Stainless steel for under $200.

They look identical to me.
Now I wonder how does the location of the bridge affect sound? For example CJponyparts has this cheap h pipe where the bridge is down in the middle where everyone else has it closer to the engine.
As for material, I can see mufflers being stainless steel is a good thing because water splashes and appearance. Mid pipe meh, steel is good enough.

I have the CJ Pony Parts "aluminized steel" H pipe, with stock exhaust. People comment on the sound saying that it sound vintage, which is what I was going for.

I tend to keep my vehicles a long time so stainless will probably be my preference. Like toplesstripcruiser, wished one was under $200.

I run the same combo, along with long tube headers. I get a lot of compliments on the sound too.

Heartthrob here also. Definitely wakes it up with the Roush Axle-backs. :headbang:

Just ordered the MRT H pipe myself, anyone weld one in?

I just don't want to worry about a lose clamp and it coming down.
