I've decided on getting an H-pipe (don't want rasp that X-pipes typically have) and will be putting my stock exhaust back on. The Steeda is just too loud inside the car for my tastes. I might look into a different axleback once I've got the H-pipe and see how that sounds.

What I'm wondering is, with 4 or 5 H-pipe options that I've come across, are there really any performance or sound differences between them or are they all pretty much equal? I know some of them are made of better material than others, but I'm not concerned about that. I just want to know if there's something that makes one of them better than the others.

What ever you decide, don't get the Ford Racing X-pipe. At least several forum members have posted about their X pipe cracking.

I don't believe seeing any complaints about the other brands.

I had my H-pipe made from scratch at a muffler shop and then the guy welded it in for a bit under $100 out the door.

I've got the Heartthrob h-pipe and I really like it. It is paired with the Pypes muffler deletes so it is really loud

I have CJ Pony's H-Pipe with stock exhaust. It sounds good. It gives a nice low muscle car rumble.

Thanks for the feedback. I've got a lead on an used CJPP H-pipe that I'll probably jump on.

the larger the crossover, the better for harmonics and flow, seems obvious but some companies have very small crossovers.

Interesting. One other question I just thought of: will doing a res delete H-pipe give the car the crackling/popping sound when downshifting or letting off the gas? I had that in my 2014 w/GT500s (resonators intact) and I kind of miss that.

the damn suitcase resonator destroys all natural exhaust noise. the tune on these is pretty solid so theres not a ton of excess fuel to make it crackle like the older ones, at least from what ive heard

I've got a Lethal H pipe with an otherwise stock exhaust and when I come off throttle at high-moderate RPM I do get a little popping, but it's nowhere near as loud as some other cars I've had in the past.
