GT500 Flipping

I can see flipping cars as a hobby or a side hustle for some extra cash but unless you’re a full time auto broker or you found out your grandma has a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO hidden in the barn there are easier ways to make money. I guess there are two schools of thought here. I used careers and the markets to make money and buy toys because I like toys. I’ll say it for you, “OK boomer.” I don’t have any problem with individual owners whether they be private or a dealer getting maximum dollars for a sale. I subscribed to supply and demand and free market economics a long time ago. To each his own.

Yea I hear you, Ford screwed a lot of people over by ridding of the CFHP but it made sense. The carbon wheels are too much of a premium for a $10k package. I hope it all works out for you though on the 2022. What color you going for?

That's an interesting question. Most on here have said the HE is not going to be an option on the CFTP. My dealership placed an initial order spec as a CFTP HE. That means Brittany blue with Wimbledon white stripes.

If it turns out HE is not an option on a CFTP, I will got with Oxford white with Kona blue stripes.

I am going to call the GM today and get the priority code changed to 10.

I understand it as the HE is orderable as an CFTP, but you can’t get side stripes if you get POTS. Stupid in my opinion, but one would only have to have aftermarket side stripes added to get the look.

to not sell at ADM's, and reselling to dealers that will mark them up and they sell to the public.

Thought I read somewhere that the Shelby Foundation was raffling off a HE CFTP so there will be at least one. I’ll have to see if I can find it again

The difference on that car is it has a red stripe on the outside of the white OTT stripes.

My brother works for a dealer group in north FL that has a policy of no ADMs. So the GM sold his 5 allocations to a dealer in south FL for $5K each. Pocketing $25,000 for doing nothing. Ever wonder how some dealers have dozens of allocations and charge big ADMs?

The resale numbers don't seem to be that strong right now. Even on boutique sites like BaT and Cars and Bids, base and CFTP cars seem to currently sell right around MSRP. I Think if Ford announced the next generation was going to be a major departure from the SC V8 that would change. When the GT500 was announced to be DCT only, late 350R prices shot up. If the S650 GT500 was going to be TTV6 or a hybrid, as Samuel L Jackson said in Jurassic Park "Hold on to your butts"
