I like this car cover much more than the GT350 one. Anyone else like it or even use the factory cover?

It does state is it an inside car cover. Unlike the GT350 which has a plastic feel to it, this one feels very soft and plush. Not good for water for sure.

I was working on the car outside. It was on jack stands and then it rained. The damn cover is a sponge.

I have a couple of them. They work well at keeping the car pristine and protected. :like:

I kept my original cover in the sealed box. I bought a second one for use. Now..... here is the question of the day, how do you keep the tire gloss from messing up your cover?

I had that issue with the previous car Tom. Buffing the tires after the shine sets works pretty well, but you can't leave them wet as you've discovered. I switched to CarPro's Perl for tires and vinyl pieces and it leaves no residue on the cover that I've noticed.

I have used a piece of canvas to drape over the tire before the cover goes on in the past.

These days I really don't use tire shine anyway. I use Griot's tire cleaner and it leaves the rubber a nice dark matte finish all by itself.

Something tells me this was more of a "waxer" joke, but I thought I would chime inn anyway :like:

It may have been a joke, Jamie but in any case, I'm one of those who doesn't like the "wet and shiny" look. And, like many others on this boat, I've used crummy tire shine in the past and just wiped it off as best I could. But CarPro's Perl isn't a petroleum-based product, it's more like a wax for rubber and after a buff, I get exactly the satin look that I want.

Compared to the other photos here, mine does not look as snug or tight as everyone else's. I pull it down as tight as I can. Maybe because it has only been used a few times?

Do you have the gunnery flat installed? It does not look like it from what I am seeing. It's only adds about 1.5" but maybe that's it or like you said usage.

Gurney Flap is installed. I think it’s just the lack of usage.
