One of the cool things about the internet is that every now and then you stumble upon a gem that really catches your eye. I had never heard of "AC Creatives" before but now I'm watching and waiting for each reveal. In this case, I noticed a simple sketch of a headlight for the GT500. It was the level of detail that drew me in. I don't spend much time on Instagram but I check often for any updates on this one.
Posted next was a section of the front end of a GT500 with the above light.
It was at that point that I contacted the gentleman behind the pen to talk more as I was just blown away by the level of detail. He's working on this project when he has the time and has quite a few hours in detailing sections of a complete car by studying available photographs. We spent quite a bit of time talking about this and he was generous enough to share some more of the work in progress, however unfinished certain aspects may be.
Since I dabble with CAD I really appreciated learning more about the workflow. This one reveals quite a bit.
Definitely a beautiful forest between the trees. More of the front end in detail.
Note the dot matrix on the glass. No way I'd have the patience to do this. The shading is perfect.
The section of the rear shows he has most everything in place and ready to be detailed.
The optional Recaro seats...
And this last one, while obviously incomplete, gives a good sense as to how it all fits together. I cannot wait to see it completed.
