These ADM threads are all the same, I get a kick out of the emotions that get stirred up. Everyone and anyone has to make a purchase decision that suits their means and objectives. Find your best deal that fits this equation and pull the trigger, or don’t. It doesn’t matter what others think.

True. It's not that I wouldn't have paid a small ADM. I would ($5k was my minds limit) have but I was just trying my best not to and it was a good experience. The best.

Man I just didn't have to put up with any of that fuckery. 100% straight forward MSRP + Price Protection deal since I ordered in early Feb of 2022. No pressure to finance thru the dealer, Ford or anyone. I did not finance a penny. Signed papers. Handed them a cashiers check, spent an hour taping up the front of my 500, drove it home 450 miles.

Been selling Shelby's for MSRP since 2015. I believe I got their only 22 GT500 Allocation but keep them in mind for the future. They are honorable.

I'm still on my quest for a 2020-22 GT500 but have hesitated due to the ADM ($20K additional dealer markup), supply chain problem resolution (flooding market with new cars) and the possibility of a coming recession, which could crater car prices. Autotrader has over 200 of these 'last gasp' GT500s for sale and the dealers that I am currently talking to are offering reduced ADMs from $20K down to $5K. Could the new GT500s follow the same trend of the Mach1 that has big discounts now being offered?

Clement Ford is 30 minutes from me, they have a new CFTP HE which they ordered and they will not move off 20k ADM this was 2 Saturdays ago. I even offered to trade one of cars for grins, but they were not budging.

I have been talking to dealers across the country for some time now, and generally most dealers are buying cars from other dealers. There are some who will not give up their allocation, even though locators are currently paying 4k-5k over MSRP. That is for a base GT500, a CFTP is more obviously.

My ADM story- check the dates

2022 Base HE -ordered 1/5/22, delivered 8/26/22. Paid exactly MSRP, no doc fees or dealer adds, similar story to poster JR369 above, small town dealer in Missouri. Drove it back 169 miles home.

2022 Base (white)- found dealer who reduced ADM in 2023, bought last week 1/26/23. Paid exactly MSRP plus $250 in documentation fees, paid transport company $1460 to ship it to me. Small town dealer in West Virginia.

Key is to find a car ordered by the dealership.

point being I just bought a $86k GT500 for MSRP last week. Takes patience, but it can be done, also there are a lot of 20-30k ADMs in Missouri and all over the country, its not just a west coast thing.
