I bought the MRT Hood struts mainly because of no drilling. I will be installing in the next month.Anyone install hood struts on their 350/R? If so how does it look? I wanted to keep everything original, but am debating on getting the struts.
good struts are cc practical and a good add . One of the first things I added to my 2019R. You can all ways take them off if you like later.I bought the MRT Hood struts mainly because of no drilling. I will be installing in the next month.

I actually live near MRT and they would doing custom magnetic color struts for me while they add ceramic paint protection and install gt350 rear seats . Just was curious if it would look good or not. I do like how it requires no drilling so everything is all original.good struts are cc practical and a good add . One of the first things I added to my 2019R. I have Redline struts, Magnetic paint match. Worthy upgradeI actually live near MRT and they would doing custom magnetic color struts for me while they add ceramic paint protection and install gt350 rear seats . But note the prop rod clip is still in place.
I took mine off when I witness the flex in the hood when I tried to close mine for the very first time after install. I wasn’t brave enough to apply enough pressure to actually close the hood, I thought I was going to bend the hood. Seems like the hood struts are too aggressively valved. Even off the car the amount of effort to compress the struts was unusually high.I have Redline struts, Magnetic paint match. Worthy upgrade![]()

Have not noticed any of the issues you hadI took mine off when I witness the flex in the hood when I tried to close mine for the very first time after install. I’ve always wondered how many others experience with the redline struts was like mine.
I had RL’s on my 13 GT500 and they were way better than the ones for the S550 cars.
Yeah, that's what I said in the 1st reply to your question.......I think the MRT versions you don’t require any drilling. Am I right?
doesnt say it's for the gt350? sure this is the right unit that fits and no drilling?I bought the MRT Hood struts mainly because of no drilling. I will be installing in the next month.
