I agree the ZR1 and “Zora” will be special but when I see 3 in my city in MI and a whole lot more on Woodward in MI it’s not special everyone has one. I almost bought one before I pulled the order and got a 20 350R.
I see them all the time in MI. It’s not a special car when you see them everyday. I have only seen 1 GT500 and it was way more special seeing that than the C8.
I’d be curious how a 2020 GT350R would do since he mentioned the suspension and steering (control) is better in the 350R. Cheaper than both a C8 depending options and both NA.
oh I bet the 500 cftp will be amazing no doubt.
of course that 500 cftp is amazing. The ADMs on those are crazy too! Like I said it maybe a different story if before I got the 20R on a huge discount if they had a 500 at MSRP I maybe would have gotten that. My wife learned to drive manual so...
I like the DCT a lot. The performance aspect is amazing. But I always say there will always be someone faster than you, so why not enjoy the car. I enjoy driving a manual for a 3rd car. Have automatics in the other 2. So it’s a nice change of pace.
it might have been a different story if it were at MSRP but all I was seeing was 20-30K above sticker even for a base. It is fun driving a manual though and being engaged.
I was looking at the 500 too, but the ADM is crazy and you can’t beat a manual with FPC. You probably won’t see it again from Ford. That’s why I went with a 20 R. Last of a dying breed.
Is the GT350R different feeling than the GT350? The 991/992 are suppose to be amazing. I love American built V8 cars the most, thus why I also got a 20 GT350R. Just don’t know why they would benchmark a GT3 if they knew they wouldn’t be close to the performance.
I’m not denying that the GT350R isn’t an amazing car. I got that over the GT500 because I wanted a manual and something unique as in the engine and capabilities for a good price. Was Randy in a stock GT350R? The GT3 is a car great car. I’ve only ridden in my friends GT3RS and I was in awe by the...
It’s obvious that the GT3 is the standard and if you’re bench marking a standard you want to beat or even tie the standard which the GT350R doesn’t. I love my GT350R, but I wouldn’t have bench marked a gt3
I was reading some old articles about Ford bench marking the 2017 Shelby GT350 against a GT3. Any reason why they would do that against that caliber of a car?
